New to this place, looks like it'll be a great rescource though...

So i read a post about the Audiovox SATSWB Modulator, about how it'll cut out the static. Is it an easy install? Are the two compatible?

I live in DC, and it almost sounds like my Tweeters are busted when playing any of the music stations on the sirius starmate... they are always crackling and poping, especially when i turn the music up. I get a slight static from time to time (i think i just don't notice it at times), and have never been able to find a great station on my radio for the Starmate to broadcast to.

When i play a CD on my Toyota Rav4 Stock radio/speakers, i have no sound quality problems at all. its crystal clear...

thanks for any help.

Alex

Welcome to SatelliteGuys.us We hope you enjoy the community.

I'll try to find a part number for you and get back later. The wired modulator will eliminate your SQ problems. I installed mine in about 3 minutes once I got to the back of my radio. If I can do it, anyone can.

EDIT:

I found this helpful thread on SiriusBackstage
