Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Well, they already had an episode with Boimler and the rest of the bunch from ST Lower Decks... Why not this?
Give me good ST adventures, good sci-fi, please. You have 10 eps per season, don't waste them with musicals, animation crossovers (although that was amusing, it wasn't worth an entire episode when you only get 10) or puppets. Those are my reasons for asking WHY?

Oh, come on, the Opening Credits with the nacelle parasite was pretty clever. The problem with this episode was it required knowledge of the crew of "Lower Decks". I had to get my Trekker friend to watch "Lower Decks" which had never been on his radar because he's an adult and didn't have time for cartoons. Turns out, he became a huge fan of this Star Trek show with all its deep ST references that made up many "Lower Decks" episodes.

As I said, I found it amusing, but I didn't find it worth taking up 1/10 episodes that comprise a "season" now. I would've much preferred a good, solid ST episode instead. Same with the musical. Last season, for me anyway, they wasted 20% of it...
