Pacific Northwest, where it rains a lot...
Considering what we've been given up until this point (halfway through the season), I enjoyed it. They went somewhere, did some exploring, encountered a bizarre mystery, lost someone (a "red shirt", so-to-speak) and left us with an ominous tease to a potential follow-up episode. I'll give it 4/5 stars.

My only gripe with this episode is the guy going around with the floating camera. It distracts/detracts from the feel of show...

It sounds like something the kids do today on Tik Tok.

Oh, the other annoying thing was the lifting of part of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' as the resolution to the trap they were in...
My thoughts exactly. I felt it was the "we're back to serious Star Trek" episode with minimal cuteness, but in addition to the Last Crusade vibes, the exploded eyeballs makeup made me think of "Dr. Strange" and the zealot followers of Dormammu…

Wow, I had completely forgotten that! Yep, they lifted that too...

Another off-kilter episode. I think the story was good but not execution. Ortega's brother's documentary with inseam political ideas, not so much. So far, worse season, by far!

The Kirk episode was enjoyable, although they don't seem to understand the Kirk character very well in SNW. What, do the writers, producers and the actor never go watch ANY TOS episodes? 4/5.

The latest episode was another ripoff-fest. M*A*S*H did this type of journalism thing first way back in the day and did it much better. I will say that I liked the full-frame 4K video over the letterbox though. And c'mon, a genetically modified space-capable bug?? 2/5 (and only because of the full-frame 4K).
