Sunday Ticket 2018

Good luck getting it......Funny I come from the school of lower prices to get more people overall.....Instead its try and get top dollar from less people to achieve same outcome

A bit Surprised they are raising it, I am not a Directv sub, with so much football spread out now, and a decline in watching. That's a hefty price to pay, though I remember from my days with Direct there always seemed to be a bit of negotiation when it came to Sunday ticket. Not sure if that still goes on?

I always talk to customer service in late August and usually get discounts on S/T and 6 month discounts on premiums. I hope I can get those again this year.
Also, they really need to make the streaming only option available to everyone, not just college students and apartment dwellers.

Since the Eagles will probably be on 13 times again this year where I live, I'm thinking about not renewing and just going to a sports bar for those games. Of course, it sucks that I can't get Red Zone without Sunday Ticket Max. Hell, if I don't get Sunday Ticket, I'm thinking about going back to Dish because I do like Red Zone.

I think that has changed, at least thats what I was told earlier, you don't need Max to get Red Zone.

If true that would be new for 2018. I hope your information is accurate, as that would save subscribers $100.
I had that conversation a month or so ago ... I believe that they have changed the Max to be only the Fantasy type of stuff and the Red Zone is no longer in the Max package.

I'll have to see if I can find that info again.

Edit:
Scratch that info, I'm being told now that you still need the Max for RZ this year.

The Birds will be on national a lot this year. I got an email last year, that gave me the ticket for free. Doubt I'll get another freebee for the 2018 season, so I think I'll just move to Philly for the football season, and skip the ticket.

I’ll pass their driving the Sunday Tucket out of everyone’s price and make it history imo

I got the 2017 and 2018 season free through the Costco deal by signing up under a different family member.

But I have never payed full price for Sunday ticket, always called before the football season begun and always ended up getting it either free or close to 50% off.

I also do miss the old days when for like $200 you would get everything included.

I went all in on it for the first time last year, and while it was enjoyable, I generally attend 6-7 college games every year that require 3 day weekends. So 1/3 of the time I did not use it.

I will not be using it this coming season, one and done.

I called to cancel as well since it was free during 2017 but would pay maybe up to $150 but no more. I did like having it but not at $300, could do lots more with that in my pocket.

I would call closer to the season and see what they can do for you, $150 is reasonable, however, alot of the offers depend on your status with the company, how good your payment history is and how long you been with them and other things ...

I've always called like beginning of August and checked on what kind of discount might be available for the ST ...
I typically could get it for around $180, which is about where I value the package, so the cost I was paying I felt was reasonable, I have been as low as $150 and as high as $240 ish.
Now I have it and don't ask about pricing. :sorry
