I live in Boston and want to get the Pats in HD this Sunday. I have been watching them on the ny feed, but this Sunday golf is on instead. I was reading on directv website that the game could be blackouted if I have access to the local channel. So does that mean I am out of luck even if I get the Superfan package. Please help. :no

Yes, they black out the SD and HD feed even if you only get SD local channels if the game is on one of your local channels.

This used to happen last year with my Jets games when they were on FOX before FOX HD was offered.

i read somewhere these type of blackout situations were going to be phased out next year so you can have all your SF channels (SD or HD), irregardless of what's showing on your locals.

yeah - I use a powered antenna for all the local stuff if I want to watch it. The one I have is made by megawave ( www.megawave.com ) and at most I have to move it around a little to get a perfect picture - it usualy just sits on a shelf behind the tv or even on the floor.
