Suspending account advise

I plan to suspend my D* account next week.
My commitment end date is Aug of 2019. If i stay suspended for 6 mo will the commitment date change?

If i were to cancel now my ETF would be about $150.00, but if i just suspend for six mos and the end date don't change i will only owe about $60.00.

While your account is suspended you commitment end date will extend as well. So if you suspend for 6 monthds your ETF will still be $160.
How could it be any other way?

It still extends the agreement.

The key is finding a package less than the cancellation fee.

For example Dish used to let customers downgrade to the $9.99 welcome pack.

The welcome pack was cheaper than paying the $17.50 or $20 per month cancellation fee.
