Tailgating Setup Help

New to this forum so sorry if I didn't post this in the right section.

I want to set up a TV with DirecTV feed for tailgating this season. Here's what I have so far:

I have a spare Slimline dish. The LNB model number is SL3S4NR2-01. It says it's a SWiM LNB.
I would want to use this with my H24-700 receiver that I currently use on a 2nd TV at home.

My questions: Would I just need to hook the coax cable from the dish to the receiver and I'd be good to go? I don't know if I need a power inserter or not.

Would DirecTV "know" that I'm using it not at home and would that be a problem? Would my normal card in the receiver still work?

As you can probably tell, I'm very new to this! Thanks for the help!

Welcome to SatelliteGuys! you will need a power inserter also inline between the dish & HR24 to power the LNB, once you get it practice at home as much as you can before heading to the stadium.

You must use the card that's already in the dvr, and no, they can't tell you aren't at home.
