Thinking of switching - Questions

I've been with Dish for a long time, but may switch to Direct. We want two receivers running 2 or 3 tvs (but only 2 in operation at once). We occasionally record 3 shows at once, using OTA recording on a 722.

What sort of setup with D* would work?

If we get 2 HDDVRs can we record more than 2 events simultaneously?

I would get 2 HD DVRs. Yes each box can record 2 events, in HD, simultaneously.

2 hd-dvr's and 1 hd recieiver, add mrv and your good to go

And don't forget the AM21 external OTA tuner, if you still plan to use OTA. If you get the older HR20 DVRs, the AM21 isn't needed as the OTA tuner is built in.

That is the one drawback of D* that bothers me...when you add the AM21 you still only have 2 tuners....and nights like tonight with 3 items to record (2 sat, 1 OTA) gotta use both DVR's
