TMP channel chart

Southeast would be EA territory, as ATL locals are also on 61.5.

But it would shock and amaze me for Comcast to give up on CSN Philly being exclusive. Not unless Dish was paying around $10/sub. Comcast Philly would have thousands of sudden cancellations.

What's so special about that one over the other two RSNs?

I'm going to go out on a limb (and probably prove the opposite true) that the Showtimes won't show up until April or May. The are keeping HBO and Starz as the special offer premiums until the end of April. After that (starting in May), they are only confirming that HBO will be there, with the second premium TBD.

I would not count on Showtime expansion anytime soon, since Dish just took down Smithsonian (a joint venture with Showtime/CBS) without warning and without any real explanation that I have seen. And I might start worrying that CBS College Sports might have a target on its back.

We know 7 will be viacom channels, leaves about another 12-14 open.

Thanks dmendenjr...I was just coming to do this!

There are only a few of us paying attention to these TMP channels, but it's what is fueling my hope that DISH could still get their act together. If they have 16 open, ready slots, and they only need 7 for their announced additions, why would they need to open 3 more slots?

So, the 129/77 slots can't be national HD because a ton of people wouldn't be able to get them- let's say that leaves 12.

Based on what happened last year when tons of TMPs were uplinked, I'm willing to bet...

1)We WILL see more than just Viacom channels launched in the next few weeks.
2)We WON'T see 19 new channels, because SOMETHING will fall through.

That's my bet, though I wouldn't dare guess which channels actually make the cut. There are more Showtimes available, but why wouldn't they have done that this week? Of stuff actually on the air, there's FX, Speed, Fuel, E!, Style, G4, AMC, IFC, WE, Fuse, ESPN-U, and FashionTV...that's 12.

BUT, there's a bunch of other channels that should be launching soon, or were supposed to already. We know thay have a good relationship with Universal, so Chiller, Sleuth, and MSNBC are shoo-ins. The Oprah channel is coming soon...Discovery Health will flip to Oprah, but I'm sure they will add the HD version as well (as they did with Planet Green). BBC America has been long delayed. There's always stuff like Outdoor Channel, RFD, or even some of the shopping channels.

And finally, there's the left-field stuff...MavTV, Wealth, Africa Channels, ect. Charlie loves to add channels no one has heard of.

So who knows, but I still think there's a "storm coming."

Plus, there has long been Scott's assertion that there would be new HD put on 110. And sure enough, there are 7 TMPs on 110, but oddly enough don't have mirrors on the EA.

Speaking of Showtime's; I have a sneaky suspicion that temp 51 (and if they move it to a 110/77 or 129/61.5 temp 50) is more showtime. They way that the channels line up in the "temp" fields...

and I was just about to add that same EA comment
Now on those 129/77 temps, if they move either the temp from 129 to 110 or 77 to 61.5 then we would be set.

Why should they? The whole country can see 110.

Which is irrelevant if the single-dish solution for the EA that you have hundreds of millions of dollars invested in can't. Dish will not make the mistake of requiring multiple dishes for standard installs again.

While, even though we didn't get the promised HD, we at least got a better handle on this chart, as 7 were moved around, likely the 7 Viacoms.

Note: They were also mirrored to the 5300 range, but I did not record those numbers.

Again, updates in red, properly mirrored in bold.
