TNA Impact, PPV's discussion

lmao tna dont even know how to do a storyline you can tell aj and dixie were stepping on an elevator :D:)

If you watched last night during that battle royal they were talking about Madison having a crush on someone in the match (it was about 12 guys). She's standing on the ramp and I'm thinking, "O.K. They'll pan to her at eliminations and see her reaction when people are eliminated.". They made a huge deal out of this and showed her about every minute or so. They cut to a commercial, never show her or the entranceway again and never even mention it again. Now I couldn't care less if her "crush" is on a pile of dog turds in the middle of the ring but I don't understand TNAs logic. I would think if you go to the trouble of bringing something up it wouldn't be dropped like a ton of bricks when you come back from commercials.

But the news gets better, read that Brooke Hogan will now be on TNA to be the head of the Knock outs division, what a mess

Instead of having Brooke as the head of the knock outs, why not have Brooke wrestle daddy's new wife. The winner would be known as " The Head Knock Out." Follow it up by having Hulk Hogan Jr wrestle mommy's boy toy. The winner would get sit on mommy's lap and suck on her tit.

Is Nick still in prison? If not, I'm surprised they haven't already got him to come in and beat some top stars...

He was released today. Now he wants a reality show!?!? Doesn't Jr remember how successful his daddy's and sister's reality shows were?

If he gets a reality show, it should be about how he gets a over worked, under paid, meaningless job that not even illegal immigrants would want. And all his pay would go his friends family.

As for mommy being in a rap video.......um NNNOOOO!!!!

Update On Morrison & Melina Joining TNA, Kim’s Wedding Guests
– TNA Wrestling officials are interested in acquiring former WWE Superstars John Morrison and Melina as their names have come up in recent creative meetings. Bruce Prichard, Senior Vice President of Programming and Talent Relations, is said to be a big proponent of the couple joining the organization. Both talents have continued to compete at independent wrestling events since parting ways with WWE last year.
– Gail Kim wed celebrity chef Robert Irvine on May 10 at the Charles Krug Winery in the Napa Valley in Northern California. The wedding was held on a Thursday so many of Kim’s friends from professional wrestling could attend. Among those in attendance were Alicia Fox, Beth Phoenix, Bully Ray, Christopher Daniels, Jeremy Borash, Kazarian, Molly Holly, Natalya, Tara, Traci Brooks and Tyson Kidd. Stacy Keibler was invited to attend the wedding but instead opted for George Clooney’s fund-raiser for United States President Obama.
– Angelina Love commented on Brooke Hogan being named Executive in Charge of the Knockouts, tweeting, “@IMPACTWRESTLING goes LIVE May 31st at 8pm all summer long! And Brooke Hogan (@MizzHogan) is in charge of the Knockouts….maybe she’ll be my new BFF?! #blondeshavemorefun.”

DAFFNEY VS. TNA LAWSUIT UPDATE
Over the weekend, we were asked in our Q&A Feature if there was any update on the lawsuit former TNA star Daffney had filed against TNA stemming from injuries she had suffered during her run with the company. At the time, I had noted that we were unable to find legal filings in regard to the case. However, since the weekend, we were able to confirm that the case is still ongoing. There are plans for depositions to be held next month. The most recent development in the case is that an attorney that represents TNA in Texas had requested he be allowed to represent the company in TN, where TNA is based and the lawsuit is filed. The court turned that request down. So, the case is still active and making its way through the legal process. Attention: TNA, DO NOT sign Melina http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/community/entry.php?41738-Attention-TNA-DO-NOT-sign-Melina

Major Heat On Ric Flair In TNA: Possibly Done With The Company
Ric Flair’s days in TNA could be coming to an end. According to a report at PWInsider.com, Flair’s recent conduct outside of the ring has been such a burden for TNA, the situation has reached a point where it’s not worth keeping him around anymore.Ric Flair’s partying lifestyle, which has been his calling card for decades, is catching up with him once again. Flair has rung up several very expensive bar tabs and then stuck TNA with the bill. Flair was recently banned from the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando and was recently pulled from TNA live events and TV tapings after another incident at an Orlando hotel that TNA previously had a strong working relationship with.Several people in TNA were against bringing Flair in from the beginning due to his high price tag. The fact that he has failed to be a ratings or money draw for TNA has added even more tension to Flair’s relationship with the company.Flair is also on the radar of Spike TV, with executives from the network reportedly instructing TNA to prohibit Flair from appearing “near nude” (in his wrestling gear) and bleeding on television. As of this weekend, some believe Flair might have made his last appearance for TNA.It’s worth noting that Ric Flair’s daughter Ashley just signed a developmental contract with WWE......
Powell's POV: This explains why Flair was pulled from the house shows last weekend. You can never rule out the possibility of the two sides making peace given that this is the wrestling industry, but I can tell you that more than one source has stated in the past that Flair is "more trouble than he's worth" for the company.

Breaking News: Ric Flair Gone From TNA?

Source: Pwinsider.com

According to sources, people close to Ric Flair and TNA have confirmed that the two sides are at a major impasse, as there is a ton of heat on Flair for conduct outside the ring. One TNA source described the situation as, "being at the point it's not worth keeping Flair around." There have reportedly been a number of incidents involving Flair at local establishments and bars in Orlando since coming to the company. Sources say that Flair was banned from drinking at the Hard Rock Cafe in Citiwalk due to an incident with him "acting inappropriate", leading to venue management banishing him.

There have been reports from talent in TNA that Flair has not been able to cover bar tabs repeatedly, and company management getting a call from the hotel and/or bar seeking payment. The most recent incident at the hotel TNA utilizes for their wrestlers and staff, which the company has had a great relationship with for years. This was reportedly the last straw in the situation, as Flair was pulled from the Louisiana house shows and the final TV Tapings before Impact Wrestling goes live on May 31st.

Many have compared this to the situation on the European tour last year, where TNA's Craig Jenkins, after several days of fronting Flair money to cover a bar tab, refused to do so again. Flair then screamed at Jenkins in front of the entire crew and refusing to get on the TNA tour bus to head to the next date, and was then left behind. Publicly, Flair blamed the matter on the company not giving him "advances" like he would get when touring for WWE, citing that he was "used" to that treatment.

Many forces within the company have been against having him as a regular since he came into the company, noting that while he carries a high price tag, he hasn't translated into drawing money or ratings for the company. And now with these issues, it seems, as all they are getting is "Ric Flair level behavior," not "Ric Flair level performances."

Others within the company feel that Flair and WWE put them in a "no win situation" when Flair was announced for the WWE Hall of Fame, noting that the company had no choice but to allow him to go in, or else they would look like they were denying Flair and the fans. Flair reportedly did not know that he was getting inducted but he publicly told fans he would be there "on stage" before a deal was signed that would allow him to appear.

Spike TV sources also note that there have also been a number of requests from the network end to keep Flair dressed and not have him near nude/in his wrestling gear and bleeding on TV at his age. There was even an order of arrest out for him if Flair did not pay the agreed settlement by a certain date. That order was issued because Flair had missed several agreed dates for payment of the settlement. The money was eventually paid and the NWA World title belt, which Highspots.com was holding as collateral, was seen displayed at WWE AXXESS this year. Most believe that WWE paid the debt and acquired the belt for their archive.

While it has not been confirmed, the word going around TNA this weekend was that Flair was finished with the company.

Unfortunately since leaving WWE, Flair has had several issues. He signed for a number of appearances with Ring of Honor, and then pulled out citing his relationship with WWE. Most feel that Flair realized ROH weren't going to use Reid Flair following a drug arrest. When Flair didn't pay back an advance given to him, ROH filed a lawsuit against him Flair also had issues with Highspots.com over money owed to them.

Exclusive: Big Update on Flair/TNA, Another TNA Star Also Done
According to several sources close to the situation, Ric Flair has indeed quit Impact Wrestling, and he basically just stopped showing up to events. The assumption at this point is that he's going to sign a WWE Legends deal and help fill time on the new TV network. Flair has energy drink and lottery endorsements to fall back on, too.
Additionally, WZ has learned that Alex Shelley quit TNA as well. Apparently WWE will fill extra TV time with, among other things, a Cruiserweight division and/or tag teams, and are looking for smaller wrestlers by way of stocking either, or both. While it has not been confirmed, Shelley will likely go to WWE. There has also been talk of WWE running a Cruiserweight show on the new Network, which could also be a possibility for Shelley.

Can anyone say WWE for Flair and Shelley both for their Cruiserweight Division...Flair would make a great manager and Shelley would be great for the Cruiserweight Division if WWE is seriously about the division :)

More On Alex Shelley's TNA Departure
-- Also as previously reported, Alex Shelley is leaving TNA when his contract is up, which should happen shortly. It was reportedly his call to not renew. WWE is looking at building up their cruiserweight roster, either for the new cruiserweight show planned for the WWE Network or for their weekly shows.

TNA Star Reportedly Jumping Ship To WWE, WWE Back In Raleigh, Brian Pillman
-- Alex Shelley, whose contract with TNA Wrestling is set to expire, is reportedly jumping ship to WWE. This is according to former WCW broadcaster Mark Madden. He wrote on Twitter:"Good luck to Alex Shelley, WWE-bound. A real talent. Let's c if he's used rite. Shame 2c MCMGs break up. Best tag team in U.S."
Dixie Carter Defends Hulk Hogan Against Critics, Explains What He Means To TNA
Speaking to Fight Club Chicago, TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter defended Hulk Hogan against critics and explained what he means to her organization."I think people think he's just showing up and collecting some big fat paycheck and it couldn't be further from the truth. This guy, this legend in our business, truly surpasses the word wrestling itself. He is so immersed in our business and helping us grow our business on days he's not even on shows. He's driving an hour and a half to sit in on our agents' meetings and help working with agents and the talent on the night of the show. If we have a pay-per-view and he's not on it, he's there. He's working his tail off," Carter said."And then you have, what does Hulk Hogan bring to a company such as ours and the doors it opens and the visibility it gives and that's everything. He's making business calls for us, he's talking to advertisers, he's showing up and working Viacom stuff. He's as vested as you can possibly be and I think he will always be known for so many big big things throughout his career. I am hopeful that this period of his life, even when he's not in the ring wrestling will be one that fans are so proud of how much he's giving back to this sport and how much he's giving back to this sport and how he's helping these young guys grow and what he's doing for our industry."Carter also discusses Kurt Angle, acquiring mixed martial star King Mo and more. The audio interview is available at sportstownchicago.com - Fight Club.

Exclusive: More on Flair/TNA Parting Ways, Flair Goes Off Script
According to a source within TNA, a major issue which lead to tension between Ric Flair and TNA was the handling of the Gut Check segment on iMPACT! featuring Alex Silva.

Flair reportedly went off script when he chose Silva as the winner, which is now causing issues for TNA for two reasons. First of all Flair went into business for himself, which has upset people. Secondly, Silva is from Quebec, requiring TNA to spend more time and money getting him a US Visa if they want to use him regularly.

As noted several days ago, several TNA sources have now confirmed that Ric Flair has "quit" TNA Wrestling. According to three different TNA sources, Flair no-showed several TNA events last weekend and didn't show up to the iMPACT! tapings last Monday and Tuesday. TNA is trying to smooth things over but as of now, he is done with the company. Flair and Dixie Carter have had talks over the past week. There are rumblings that Flair will be signing with WWE under a "Legends Deal" to help promote the WWE Network. Flair also has an energy drink and lottery endorsements which he's making money from.

We'll keep you posted as we hear more.

Update On Ric Flair Leaving TNA & Possibly Returning To WWE
It’s been widely reported that Ric Flair is on the outs with TNA, with most people in the company under the impression that he won’t be back. There are conflicting stories as to whether Flair quit or if TNA ended the relationship.Flair could wind up back in WWE, since he is a close personal friend of Triple H, his daughter just got signed to WWE developmental and WWE could use Flair to help with the WWE Network launch later this year. Under no circumstances would Flair ever wrestle in a WWE ring again after his elaborate “retirement” sendoff at WrestleMania 24.Flair currently has a lucrative sponsorship deal in place with Coca Cola as the spokesperson for a new energy shot drink, however his financial situation (and lifestyle) is such that he will probably still need to work for years to come.
Check out these videos of Ric Flair promoting the “Fuel In A Bottle” energy drink:
