I was talking to jacky, I pretty much told her i want the box 2nd box for redundancy purposes, if 1 box dies the joeys can switch to other box till that box is replace and too have dvr separation, told her i willing to pay for the 2nd box, and after few minutes of checking was told I can get a 2nd I would have to pay $350 upfront from 2nd hopper 3 and then she will set up everything for me and have the tech to come out install it and change out the switch as needed. i have direct extension to her to. no arugments no nothing I told her want i want and she said it possible. she did say say can say one way or another if i do need 2nd dish or if DPH42 can do it.

seeing as she told she do all this for threw dish I will, but I gona see if I can get discount on box cause i could get the box 100$ less else where that and i been with them for almost 20 years would think would like to keep longer term customer happy. but i really holding my breath on that.

I called back to talk to again but cause her she was on the phone system redirect me to next csc person who instantly saw all I talked about with jacky and said they were all able to set all this up for me. I ask them if they could get hold jacky and her call me back I am currently wating.. I will update when I have more info.

Did you ask her if you bought 2nd Hopper 3 from an on line retailer would she still set up everything for you?

I am told there are only a small number of people who can approve a 2 Hopper install. And for a majority the answer has been a no.

Any word on what criteria this oligarchy uses to determine whether the answer is yes or no? Not allowing a 2nd Hopper at all is total bull$h!t.

OK so i talk to jacky again 350$ might 359$ for 2nd h3 and cant reduce price , she said if it was lease they could but then i would not be able to get 2nd h3 installed on one account.

I told her I cant pay price for the box atm and asked if I could call her back in few week or so to set this all up. she said yes just call her when I ready she even said it all noted in the account and that is being allowed, so EVEN if i unable to get hold her it would get done.

The person i talk to when i could get hold of jacky, was alex she told me he would be just help full and would set it all up for me.I have jackys extension and there for direct line to her so I will do all this threw her. when I told her I want to do this all threw her cause I getting different answer from the other numbers, first things she did was give me he extension.

To anyone who tries, well.... good luck ! Odds are that anyone who tries to get (2) activated will hit roadblock after roadblock in their attempts to find this mysterious "CSC team". They may never get past the front-line reps who won't budge past "2 Hoppers aren't allowed".

I don’t want this to sound wrong but if you get somebody from the Philippines insist they give you to somebody in the states. In my experience, the guys in the Philippines are very limited on what they can do and what they know how to do

I remember one time when a "special number" was removed from a post (in another thread) but someone had already quoted the post with the number in a reply, so I just got the "special number" from the quote box instead.

They won't even allow you to have a Wally on an account with one 211k unless you purchase it. My old setup had one 211k and I wanted to add a Wally, and they had no way to send me a leased one. Bizarre.

Which is exactly what I did. Actually, Dish did offer to lease me a Wally, but I did not want to extend my commitment with a new two-year contract. Besides, $50 (plus sales tax) is not a bad price to pay to purchase a Wally.

sorry didn think posting number might cause issues, first number i used was post buy some one else that number i used other number i was give by the lady. i removed all referse to numbers i had in my posts if they where not removed already.

Hope I didnt screw my self over, i would be more then tad upset if when i go to call her in week or 2 to talk jacky and the ball rolling to find out i back to square one.

Problem with posting phone numbers or email addresses for folks at Dish who can get stuff done is that they get abused over time. People contacting these groups asking for discounts/credits, free upgrades, etc, etc....

I just middle person here I authorized to make changes on the account, but i still need run the changes by owner cause they dont want to deal with dish, and they very insistent on a lower price for 2nd h3. which make process that much pain full, took me months and months just to get this far and get person that said yes it can be done.

So i might wind up buy the 2nd h3 from solidsignal or dishdepot there both authorized deals and asking over 100$ less, which might be best the deal is gona get

My leased H3 need to be placed to so i wanted to do have this all done at once. confusing mess it is more so when your man in middle, but atlest the process is started

It is not about the number of tuners. The two Hopper 3s number of tuners has been covered in numerous threads. For most of us it is about redundancy and the separation of Hoppers for organizational reasons in the household.
