Currently using this Viewsonics 2-way splitter. 3.5 dB loss on each output. Is there anything better than this out there?

Just watch the range it covers, they are not all the same ...

I am currently using an "Antop"
It's frequency is 5-2050 MHZ

I got it from my HI End TV shop ... does that mean it's any better, I don't know.

I ordered one of these from Amazon. Same insertion loss, but from what I've read, it's the "gold standard" for splitters..

I can't use anything that has any kind of amplification because I'm so close to the towers.

That should work as well as any other ... it's also 3.5 db loss with frequency of 5-1218.

And, with the "Fancy Candy Company" gladly handing out the higher frequency ranges to Cellular Phone providers, you really don't need to go past 500 MHz on the upper end anymore for OTA.

As soon as I typed in 500 MHZ I knew I should have double-checked my memory. My point is that any OTA splitter is bound to be over-engineered as they were designed for a time when the UHF band went to Channel 83. 1.2 GHz is more than enough.

You should be fine sticking to a name brand like Channel Master or Winegard.

edit: Eesh, I see Amazon will sell the equivalent of a BNC T connection but with F-connectors. I'm sure they don't have any components, just connecting the three tip connections together and letting the RF figure it all out. That's not how TV coax is designed to work.
