New installer here
Hi all,
Nice to see there's a place to talk all things satallite. It seems there's a special place to talk about anything & everything else on the net, why not satallite.
A little about me: I been fixing large and small format printers for the last 14 years as well as side work as an arcade video game technician and installing whole house A/V and computer networking systems. I worked as a contracted cable tv installer for the last 9 months with a cable company that doesn't advertise (small town, I guess they don't feel the need to) and not enough work to keep me running.
I just got hired on as a Directv installer with a large company and start training next Tuesday. It will be nice to have a full schedule again and actually get medical insurance to boot.
My hobbies are acid etching my own circuit boards, flying remote controlled planes, and waisting the rest of my time burning my eyes in front of the computer screen. (that is when my wife isn't nagging that I'm not paying enough attention to her)
Anyway I hope to get some good info from this forum and maybe be able to contribute something myself.
