Windows 10/11 Download

I had been using HP printers for decades, since the 80's. It got to where every time I wanted to print something I had to do a cleaning, which, guess what, used ink. HP has been practically giving away their printers for years, just to sell you the ink.

Everyone is going to the subscription model. One of the reasons I'm still using a PC, even though I like Mac, is so I can run software I've had for many years. I use Quicken 2000. It keeps my books neat and orderly and everything I need it to do. With a modern Mac, I'd have to pay a yearly Quicken license fee.

Anyway, about three years ago I went to a Brother laser printer. I paid a couple hundred dollars for the printer, but the cartridge lasts forever. I just recently replaced the one that came with the printer..................and it's always ready to print, and it's fast, and the wireless option actually works.................off of my computer, tablet, phone, etc.

I might look into that. You're right that HP blows through ink. I rarely print much and still have to replace cartridges 2-3 times a year

I have a Brother Color Laser Printer. I love it. Bought it after trying inkjet under the sun. I rarely print so I was in the cycle of buying a new printer everytime I needed to print as the ink had dried up and the print head was bad or the printer was just broken. Once I got the Brother I never looked back. Toner is always ready and cartridge is easy to clean if it looks wonky. I did try a Samsung first, it was a POS. Board ended up dying on it, as was the major case on them. Now my printer just sits there at my command, ready for when called.

My Windows 11 box also had the updates above but I can still Remote in via Remote Desktop and have no issues with my Channels DVR server other than for the last few weeks most recordings show an interrupted message. Luckily the Channels DVR server is just for backup for my Channels DVR installed on my Synology NAS. I can also connect to it from any other computer via any web browser. I think I would try to go into Control Panel and uninstall the updates from last night and reboot and see if you can then access it. If you can try installing those updates again and see if the same thing occurs.

Yeah, for others reading his, I think he's replying to a post I made about my Channels server and then deleted just before he must have posted.

I tried everything to get it to work, and it just wouldn't. So, I REBOOTED, logged back in, and it somehow fixed it itself.

Go figure. Windows 11 updates are going to be the death of me...

It was crazy. That .Net proxy server instance I have for Pluto tv that restarts automatically on a reboot, had maybe 10 or so instances running from the regular port of 7777, all the way up to 7789!

That means that my Windows 11 machine must have rebooted at least that many times for all these updates, and the regular port of 7777 was still locked, so it moved up a port on each instance! Just insane...

I'd be looking more towards lost reception problems.
IF his only setup is to an HDHR tuner, you could be right. Maybe he also does custom .m3u's, Tv Everywhere, or has a proxy server running like I do, etc.

Luckily Channels DVR is so robust, it'll restart recording streams that choked as many times as needed and just keep going...

Actually I am just using TV Everywhere with my DIRECTV satellite service since I have no possible scenario for an antenna to work. I would love to be able to use an antenna with an HD Homerun but it just isn't possible in my location. I just use it due to DIRECTV requiring a tuner for every recording so I use Channels DVR to record some shows so I don't hog all of the tuners from DIRECTV. TV Everywhere seems to be on its last leg as NBC and Disney channels encrypted all of their channels and no longer work via TV Everywhere and also my local FOX (Nextstar owned) will no longer work via TV Everywhere either so my only main 4 national network that works is CBS and it probably will go the encrypted route soon too. I do have PlayOn Home that I can have it record and drop the other network shows into a Channels DVR folder where it adds them automatically too.

I never had the issue with the Windows 11 problem until a few weeks ago. I don't have any other kind of network issue on that pc. It seems to have started when I added Pluto TV to channels DVR via software that only runs on windows. My Synology NAS Channels DVR can't run that software and it records fine.i have 1 gb up and down fiber internet service so I am pretty sure the problem on Windows 11 is the Pluto TV software edition. Just haven't got around to try to fix it yet since it is mainly just a backup from my main Channels DVR.

Are you running the Pluto-Windows_4c .net proxy server? That's the one I run, and it's been flawless on version 1.1.5. I have Spectrum cable internet, at 400/10.

No the one I am using is called Pluto for Channels. Maybe I should get rid of that one and try the one you are using and see if that fixes the problem I am seeing.

That's the one: Pluto for Channels. I've been using it since version 1.0.3, and moved up as he updated. It's up to 1.1.7, but I haven't bothered upgrading since 1.1.5.

It's running on the same Win11 machine that has my Channels server on it.

OK I didn't recognize the name when you said Pluto-Windows_4c .net proxy server. Mine is running 1.1.7 so maybe that is the issue.
