Winegard 4" Mount

Do all Winegard BUDs have a mount that require a 4" pole or just the heavy dishes???

It is kind of hard to find 4" poles but the 3 1/2" ones are everywhere! Would it be a good idea to convert the mount to a 3 1/2"? Did anyone try this modification without any problems? I have seen some pretty heavy BUDs on 3 1/2" poles!

Dan, I have a Winegard 10' mesh that has a 3 1/2" polar mount.

Could you just find about a foot or so of the 4" pipe and weld it to a 3 1/2"?

That is one option that I was thinking too! :up

I had a piece that was 4" OD and 3 1/2" ID that would fit over the pole....

BUT.... I think the scrap guy ran off with it! :rant:

There is a pole that looks like 4" just up the road. I will have to stop and see

what it is!

Oh yeah, Mine is a 10' mesh Winegard Pinnacle - kinda heavy!!!
