NCAA Football 2009-10 PreSeason

4 weeks from tonight the season kickoff with 2 ESPN games South Carolina @ NC ST followed by Oregon @ Boise St
I'm ready for football!!!!!!!!!!
heck I'd watch Baylor and Iowa St or some otherwise crappy game
South Carolina and NC State ugh. Is it possible for both teams to lose? I guess I have to support State, conference loyalty and all, but I'll want to take a shower afterwards.

I'll give you your five, but Auburn would never have beaten USC.
I think they could have, they defeated more ranked teams that year than USC. Definately have done a better job than Oklahoma did.
And don't forget the SEC has home court advantage in New Orleans.
Overrated argument. Florida still crushed Ohio St. in the Fiesta Bowl. Phoenix is a long way from being "home".

He's talking about LSU. Still stinging from that arse-whipping the Tigers gave the "Greatest College Football Team of All Time" (or whatever K. Herbstriet dubbed them befor Kansas State destroyed them that year). :D

I am not so sure about that. I think Auburn had a very good chance of beating USC.
In any case, as Derwin said, it would have been a much closer game than what we got.

This is one of the reasons that having BC in the ACC is nice now - so easy to root against, I hate them both!!!

Only drama like yours is when they're playing an overrated Dook team, for example. I root for locusts, plague, etc.

What is scary is that The U's 1st 4 opponents are in the top 20. I would be happy with a going 2-2....

..I cannot remember any team ever starting against 4 teams in the top 20 as their 1st 4 opponents. YIKES!

EDIT....IF, by some miracle by the grace of GOD, they win ALL 4 games...they should be ranked #1.

Roll Tide! I am pleased with starting out 5th.

Glad to see Ole Miss more in line with where I think than some of the other pre season polls I have seen

Notre Dame ranked?

with their piss ant schedule they'll probably got 9-3 and get a BCS bid :rolleyes:

Where would you rank them- 116th?

I'm not a Notre Dame fan, but I'm tired of people acting like they should be treated as a bottomfeeder down there with the likes of Washington State.

OSU ranked to high yet again. Theyll finish out of the top ten.

Glad to see the SEC repping with 4 of the top ten.

I also hate polls prior to season starting. Specially for college sports, I mean teams change so much year to year. However this year I do think the polls are pretty darn close. Specially the top three.

Thats because every Irish fan feels that they should be the ONLY team when they are playing well.
It's them or nothing, media is that way too.
