MLB 2013 Season

Harper has two HRs in his first two ABs.

Projects to 648 for the whole season...

But Stramas might be Player of the Game today, because if a player homers in every at bat, his team can still lose, but if a pitcher throws a shutout, his team can't lose. He retired eighteen in a row after the opening batter singled before giving up a double, and his pitch count in the seventh is so low that he could pitch ten innings if he had to.

I feel for the Astros and hope they make some noise. I agree with you Bill, if I were a pitcher the 2013 Angels lineup is frigging scary!

I agree about the Angels lineup. With Trumbo, Trout, Pujols and Hamilton, those are some big thumpers. In fact, I have the Angels winning the World Series this year beating the Nationals. Yes, the Angel pitching is ok but with those bats, I'd hate to see them all hitting at the same time.

The Red Sox did the right thing, and rookie phenom Jackie Bradley Jr. has made team. Bradley will start in LF tomorrow at Yankee Stadium. This kid is must see!!!!

I was going to ask you Bill about Bradley. I think he hit 419 in Spring Training. Hopefully, he will help the Red Sox even though I dont think the Red Sox make the playoffs this year.

Watch today's game against the Reds and see what they do in that hitter friendly park. I really wish the Reds were playing someone else, heck, anyone else.

The Dodgers had an awesome opening ceremony. Not only the best ever by them, but one of the best I have ever seen in baseball.

Call this the Kershaw show.

Complete game shut out
94 pitches
4 hits
7 K
0 BB

And most important. In a scoreless game in the 8th he hits a HR to give the Dodgers a 1-0 lead. He hit it deep to center.

No problem

JV looked to be in midseason form today, Jimbo. Dude is an incredible pitcher!!

Actually, I didn't think he had his control today, thus pushing his pitch count up higher than usual.

Yes, he is an incredible pitcher and us Tigers fans are very happy to have him for the remainder of his career !
