Tigers win tonight, 4-2, Price looks great, gets out of a bases loaded jam in the 8th, leading 4-1...

Nathan in for the 9th, gives up a run and gets a double play to end the game.

Why the hell are we having Ray pitch this afternoon...are we trying to give this game away? Ugh! Where's Doug Fister when you need him...

Sanchez is on the DL and Verlander needed to skip at least 1 start due to his injury. We need some minor league guys to fill in for a little while.

Price got screwed today. Complete game 1 hit shutout with no walks and no earned runs and he takes a loss 1-0. A throwing error cost him an unearned run in the first inning and then they didn't have a base runner for the rest of the game.

He probably thought he would start racking up wins once he had the Tigers offense backing him instead of Tampa but they aren't putting up any runs for him at all.

IF he thought that, he should have talked to the rest of thier pitchers .... Tigers don't support any pitchers very often.

We're struggling right now but we have a much better offense than the Rays.

Fwiw, Verlander is scheduled to pitch one of Saturdays double header games against the Twins.

He had a good bullpen session today and felt no pain.

Well...Tigers are starting a big home series against the Yankees tonight with Porcello taking the mound. Tigers needs to get out of their funk and start playing baseball. Hell, Ausmus needs to get off his arse and fire-up this team like a Billy Martin...toss chairs, threaten players, resort to fisticuffs, etc.

Well, The Price was Not right tonight ...
Price gave up 8 runs in 3 innings tonight.

Well, at least the bullpen didn't fail us last night (although Cone should send a Christmas Card to that right-field foul-pole) and Avila came through with 3-RBIs for 9th inning win. More concerning is that Miggy is not hitting...he still hasn't regained his power from the back-injury last season and his oblique, ankle and wrist injuries are taking their toll. Not sure if we can win without Miggy knocking-in a bunch of runs.
