Welp, this turd have a season has gotten more interesting. As expected they are going to reschedule LA Monroe for 12/2, which gives me one more game to attend. Need to win 3 of last 4 and we hold onto bowl appearances and winning season lengths...

I expect a high staffing turnover which Jimbo needs to do, and there should be plenty of coaches on the market with all the crazy turnover fixing to happen. Plus each team will be adding a 10th coach, so lot of hirings and firings coming up in NCAA.

Now that was an ass kicking. Hats off to Iowa. The announcers talking about the Big Ten being in trouble. Getting left out of the playoffs.

Look if the Big Ten is bad their bad. They don't d deserve to make it in.

My wife said "Honey please turn it off." I said nope... I'm going down with the ship. Again hats off to Iowa.

That was one of the most enjoyable games I've ever been to in my life. It was AWESOME! I can't tell which had more to do with the win, Iowa playing a near perfect game or OSU playing one of their worse. I'd like to think it had more to do with Iowa but I know that was not OSU's best effort.

You shouldn’t speak unless you watched the whole game. There was a hell of a lot defense and offense in Bedlam. Worry about the lack of defense the Buckeyes showed again.

He's right. The Big 12 is notorious for lack of defense. They've become a gun slinging conference. At the Iowa/OSU game we were confused at what game we were watching and kept saying we were at a Big 12 game, not B1G. It was crazy. My wife said it was like being in the Twilight Zone and I said we were in the Bizarro World.

As I said, if you didn’t watch the game then quit listening to the hype and idiots at espn and fox. There were plenty of QB sacks, interceptions, and 3rd/4th down stops by the defenses. When you have teams running so fast the defense can’t rotate out and after a hundred plays or more you’re going to give up points.

Where was that so called mighty Big 10 defense against the Big 12 teams? Iowa gave up 41 against Iowa St and Ohio St gave up 31 against OU.

Hey, that Iowa State game went to overtime. That has to count towards something.

When one team gains 785 yards and the other gains 661 yards, I do not see how the word defense can be used in describing the game without "lack of" right before it.

Here are a few things I saw from that "defensive" game.

- There were 5 punts in the game which normally isn't bad but there were 30 possessions in the game.
- Out of 130 tackles made in the game only 13 were behind the line of scrimmage.
- There were 90 passes thrown so there should be a few INTs. Each team had two.
- There were 10 TD drives that were 6 plays or less but over 60 yards. So 10 drives that averaged over 10 yards per play. Four of these TD drives were 3 or few plays.
- Only 1 fumble.

From what I gathered, there were a few decent defensive stats but you'll have that when there are that many offensive plays. It looked like a typical Big 12 game with a lot of monster plays.

7 sacks, 1 fumble, 13 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, 5 punts.

So again where were the Big 10 defenses against the Big 12 teams. The defense was just like any other conference, they get gassed at the speed the offense runs, hell the officials couldn't keep up and kept stopping play a few times. With two of the best QB's in the nation, there were many passes thrown that were perfect and no defense was going to stop.

So, what you're trying to say is that it was an offensive game. I'm not denying that the QBs are good or the players are fast. That's the style of football the Big 12 has become. Very fast and pass happy. You're basically saying what we are.

Where's the poll that matters? Oklahoma doesn't deserve top 5. Any team that gives up points
I get your point, but when you think about it they’ve meant nothing since they were first conceived.

Yep! Way to much parity now days and the only poll that really matters is the final 4 from selection committee poll and we've seen how that works (politics) with certain teams suddenly jumping others. Really without a true playoff system these polls aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Like how a team was picked above a team that beat them earlier in the season and won it's conference championship? Only to be shutout 31-0 in the first round.

Effort .... effort ... you found effort in the Buckeyes performance ?

In reality, there was plenty of effort on both sides.

Iowa played a GREAT game and pretty much exploited everything the Buckeyes did wrong in the Oklahoma game ....
Give Iowa and their Coaches Plenty of credit.
