So I bought 2 of these extender brackets and they arrived today. One for either side of the arm. Easy enough putting them together but I can't figure out how to mount 2 to the GeoSat 90cm. I see where one fits (screwed in below the existing LNB holder) but where does the 2nd one go? The lip of the bracket holder juts out so I can't figure out where to mount the other one.

So, do you want to have a multi lnb system to have many satellites in one dish? With that kit, I wouldn't try anything under a 4 degree separation.

Yes, that’s my plan. 87, 91, 95, 103

One bracket is supposed to mount on one side of the arm, and the other bracket on the other side of the arm. It’s that lip jutting out of the bracket that is confusing me

I'm not sure how to set up a multi lnb system, because I've never set one up myself. danristheman and kittyhas1000legs are expert's at multi lnb systems. What do you find interesting on 95w? I have a dish on 95w but there really nothing interesting, just CCTV and wildfeeds.

Well, I guess the lip doesn't have to be upward,
and it also doesn't have to be at the central LNB-arm (it could also be at the far end).

So maybe that bracket is usually meant to use only one of them at a dish, in exactly the way that you figured out. But that is just my guess.

As long as you position the LNB feedhorns at the right spot, and aim them about right, all is well.

BTW. Finding the needed hights of the by-rider LNBs might be easier if you calculate the needed 'tilt angle/ skew' (against the horizontal) for the multifeedbrackets beforehand.

Try bolting the two brackets together by the lip. With the lips pointed down fasten the bracket to the bottom of the arm with the LNBF bracket bolts already on the dish arm. Looks like it might fit that way.

Ah! For your location, for 87W - 103W, that would be about 0.4 degrees against the horizontal (103W LNB being the highest one) !
With that angle I guess it would be no trouble at all, to find them. :)

So my tip is not really useful....

I could also drill a hole in the arm for the bracket on the other side, right?

There's a lot of improvising and experimentation to go along with multiple LNBs on one dish. I haven't drilled any holes yet, but I've tried a few different Before attaching the LNB holder I'll hand-hold the LNB and try to get a signal, so I can get a good idea of where to attach it then try to peak the signal.

Here's my old setup for 103/97/91 (103 centered on the dish) using a $2 piece of steel from Lowe's. The cat litter buckets were essentially drip irrigation for the tomatoes, peppers, etc on the balcony.

You’ve got yourself a balcony greenhouse!

Is everything you’re growin’ legal, Kitty? ;)
Of course, it's Colorado!

I accidentally included a pic of the current setup as well in that last post. Pvc pipe with fence bands, bolts, and emt hangers. The middle two LNBs have half their casing removed so they can sit close enough together for four-degree spacing. Tomorrow I'll be making some sort of rain shield and peaking 91w.

These are some photos the vendor found for me. He also emailed the manufacturer; we’re waiting to see what they say.

Well, there you have an example for the bracket construction. :)

The left/right aiming angle of the two outer LNBs looks a bit too big on the photos, I would say.
It looks like the left LNB looks to the right half of the dish; ideally it should be aiming a little bit left of center.
But it might be an optical illusion of the photo, of course.

So in the photos, is 103 the LNB attached to the arm? If so, wouldn’t 97 and 91 be on the other side of the arm (east of 103)?

Think about how the signal is reflected off the dish...if the desired sats (97 & 91 in this example) are east of the center sat (103W), the LNBFs will be placed west of the center sat LNBF location.
