Replace the 105 super with a 1k2. If you can get internet when you travel, you can get the Hopper with Sling and stream while you're away. If you are pretty handy with pointing the dish, you can take the dish (and node) and the hopper with you to travel.

On the front of problem 922 can you tell whether it is in single or dual mode? (Orange light beside one box or two boxes). If the front panel is not responding, it is either defective or just locked. Unlock is somewhere in settings menu, don't remember where.

Sounds like you have the same dish for both places. Judt leave the check switch alone, that way the signal strength screen will be able to recognize satellites and help you point. On that point, don't trust the signal strength unless it says Locked and names the sat it locked onto.

OP never says he pointed the dish, just installed it and ran cable. I would suggest a check switch test. If it tests 1 of 3 that means it sees your dish but no satellites, meaning it could just be out of alignment. If it tests 1 of 38 then your LNB is bad and you should replace it.

If the dish actually has two outputs (unlikely) you can feed those to the two ports on the 222. The reason I say it is unlikely is because most RV dishes pick up one sat at a time and move when you change to a channel on a different satellite. If you are watching two different channels off...

Also, instead of crying to us about that $40, go buy an iPad, get the discount promotion, don't pay activation and wait 3-5 weeks, and watch some tv already.

You beat me to it. All it really takes is qualifying for that promotion based on credit (which they do tell you they will run) or $199 to waive that qualification for just moderate enough credit to qualify for DHA24.

Yea, slingbox was a seperate service before it was ever incorporated into the receivers. As far as I know you could sling any programming, provided of course that you had the programming (by paying for it).

You said you still have internet in Oregon? Sling adapter from your hopper then. You can watch online (laptop, iPad, smartphone) and not have to set up a second acct.
