We had a minor thunderstorm that caused my dish signal to go out at 8pm. The signal is back but now PTAT isn't recording at all. This has happened several times before. I don't understand why the receiver isn't "smart" enough to start recording when the signal is back. Even my 622 would do that.

I got a $10 a month credit for 6 months. No offer of a roku but I have a ps3 so I didn't need one anyway.

My Hopper decided not to record any programs on Fox last night in PTAT. I had flipped through the channels throughout the night and Fox was coming in.

The past 2 days, my Hopper has been recording all kinds of "old" programs. All of my timers are set to record new programs only, but it's taped old episodes of Pawn Stars, American Pickers, Deadliest Catch, Fact or Fiction, just to name a few.

Is there any update on this issue from the Dish people? I've had 2 programs get skipped in the past 2 days. One was a soap opera and there's no chance to record it some other time. I like the "idea" of the Hopper, but these timer issues are absolutely ridiculous. What's the point in having a...

Dustin - I'm not sure how to do that. This seems to be a guide issue, from what Dish told me. I can't get the guide to download. Resetting, unplugging, check switch, removing the card, etc. does nothing. Edit: Just did a restore via controller. Same as before. No timers, no guide.

Mine varies from almost silent about 70% of the time to sounding like a lawn mower is running one hundred yards away the other 30% of the time.

The same this is happening to me, except it's not recording the rebroadcast either. 90% of the timers record properly, but the others don't record. They all say "Already scheduled" but scrolling through the schedule reveals that they aren't going to record at all unless I manually override it.

I agree. This is so disappointing to me. I love PTAT, but the events limit makes it almost impossible to follow many cable shows. It doesn't make sense that the "old technology" 622 didn't have this issue but the Hopper does.

I set all timers manually on the Hopper. I didn't use Dish Online at all and still had this problem.

I haven't used DishOnline at all.

How do we view events? I'd imagine that is the problem, but there should be some way to work around that issue, especially since all of my timers were set to only record new episodes. The 622 never had a problem with exceeding events and I had all of the timers from the Hopper, but 70 others...

I actually deactivated PTAT at the suggestion of the online tech and I was still getting the 041 error message with only 19 timers.

Very true! After talking to tech support, I went through and manually deleted all of my timers. Now, I can record things again. :confused: How could only 19 timers fill up the Hoppers timers/events? I had 96 timers on my old 622 including all 19 of these and 77 others.

Were you able to get this problem resolved? I'm getting error 041 with 19 timers and now the Hopper won't record anything, including current times. Dish is sending a tech to my house Wed but until then I'm out of luck.

Well, my brand new Hopper won't record anything. The online tech had me do several reboots and has now scheduled a technician to come to my house. :(
