    Whats the Chieta switch for, if you have 1 dish and 1 receiver? I bought one of those "high quality Chieta" switches - it lasted exactly 20 seconds before it burned up. Take the switch out of the lines - go directly from reciever (thru motor) to LNBF. See how that acts for you.

    BSC621-2 dumb question

    down (or actually, can also be "UP") but yes thats when the unit is "vertical" setting. The receiver wont care if it's down, or 180 from there as it's still vertical in that position being now in the "up" position.

    could some fishing line be used from top rim of the dish to the lnbf, to simulate some guy wires to hold the thing up a bit? (if I'm understanding your heavy lnb issue correctly) Might be worth a try.

    Mine did the same thing, lasted less than an evening. It worked, but the power connector was not good, the blue power light would go on and off upon the slightest movement. Eventually during the evening, it would not initialize anymore. Removed device from system, unloaded drivers...

    I finally got the Neusat SP6000 from the ebay vendor (got jacked around for 2 months while they "lost" payment...) I'm still trying to figure out the menus, but so far it seems to find more stuff than the Ultra does, a little quicker changing screens, and picture is a bit better, too.

    DiSEqC switches getting fried when used with positionner?

    I can't offer any guidance, but I can add that I bought one of these "Chitea brand (supposedly - 'heavy duty' switch)" from ebay, and it lasted about 2 minutes. One of the transitors blew up inside. I'm on a $10 pansat now, working OK for past few weeks.

    yeah I did that. No good. THere is an issue with the power cord, the blue power light will go off if it's moved a little bit. Seems to be a problem inside at the connector area. I think I'll send it back to DMSI for repair.
