With the possibility of the New England/Denver game being played in snowy weather, I was wondering if you guys can recall some of the many bad-weather football games.

I actually went to one- Bills/Cardinals 1990.

Bad-weather games involving my Bills have always been a given- The 44-34 playoff shootout with Miami in the snow, the arctic-cold playoff game in January 1994 with the Raiders, etc.

the tuck rule game
packers vs giants nfc championship game from 2 years ago
also that really rainy 3-0 mnf game from a few years ago with miami and pit

Jets vs. Bill...day after Christmas in 1995. Came home from Chicago to suprise Mom(she lived in Rochester). Had some cousins from Puerto Rico that had NEVER seen snow and NEVER seen an NFL game. It was around ZERO degrees and they were expecting about 6 inches of snow....

...I will never do that sh** again!!! LOL! I have never been colder in my life..and I was wear some heavy duty hunting clothing....

1981 AFC Championship game Chargers vs Bengals in Cincinnati.

This was the coldest game ever played when you factor in the Wind Chill.

Wimp. ;) :D

You should try below zero with the wind howling. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

That game was brutally cold!

IIRC, the week before the Chargers beat the Dolphins in Miami, where there was a heat index (remember Kellen Winslow being helped from the field after the Chargers won). I don't think there was ever two extremes like the Chargers faced in Miami and Cincinnati in two consecutive weeks.

Also, the year before (1980), the Raiders and Browns played in a brutally cold playoff game at Cleveland.

I used to have Browns season tickets, so I've been to my fair share. We played the Bills two years ago in an all out blizzard....I could barely see the field. The worst weather I've ever watched a game in was 5-6 years ago against the Chargers in December. The snow was bad, but the temperature + wind were brutal....it was one of the few games I actually left early.

I did!!!! I WAS AT THE GAME between the Brown and the Raiders on January 4th in '81. It was my 1st time EVER seeing the Raiders live....and a playoff game to boot. My BEST FRIENDS parents were and still are, Browns season ticket holders. That day, it was -4 or something like that with a wind chill of -20...BUT we were in an area of the stadium where the wind was blocked....so it really wasn't cutting through you like that Jets/Bills game. At the Jets/Bills game, we were at the the 50 yard line...BUUUTTT at the very TOP of the of the stadium where both the wind AND the snow was blowing OVER the wall....GOD OH MIGHTY, just thinking about it now is sending the chill down my spine.

Those are the conditions football is meant to be played in! I love it! :D

I was just kidding with you. What's will the all caps on words?

The "Fog Bowl" playoff game... Philadelphia at Chicago, 1988.

I remember seeing a couple of players on the TV at the gun store when I ran out of shells while hunting. You could see a couple of players through the fog occasionally. It was brutal to watch on TV, but a good day for Waterfowling!
