In order: CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN HD. Which are your best?

All look good on my 60" Pioneer Elite

If I have to rate them, I guess it would be :

CBS, ESPN (when done right, meaning bandwidth wise), Fox , NBC

Jimbo

I would have to rank them in the following order.

CBS, FOX, ESPN then NBC

CBS/FOX/ESPN/NFL Network (all of you forgot about them!)/NBC

They apparently forgot NBC had the crappiest PQ ever.
Oh god, I hope the games look better this year on NBC.

Agreed here. Anxious to see if MPEG4 on D* helps things with ESPN at all.

NBC is just hopeless. Pathetic levels of motion macroblocking.

Yeah NBC has there issues. Does anyone know if they will fix that "out of focus" issue this year? You know, the first in-studio shot after coming back from a commercial or the first few seconds going to a field shot. It always takes a few seconds to get the cameras in focus. Completely unacceptable.

I agree with the 720p statement, but for some reason, CBS normally looks best.

Jimbo

I get blocking here on CBS at 1080, though it is a "clearer" picture. I used to get it OTA and now on D* in HD so we will see it is makes a difference.

Confirm.

NBC is pahhhthetic and need to get their @$$ is gear. I'm anxious to see how ESPN-HD games will look after DIRECTV finishes their MPEG 4 transition.

The argument that 720p is better for Sports holds no water with me since CBS-HD NFL games and YES-HD are the standard HD brdcsts respectively and both are 1080i.
