where are you getting this information? Walmart has the sony bdp-s300 for $378 and sonys web site has it for $399 retail price with free shipping. How is the sony player selling for above retail? Also amazon 3/19 price is $369 free shipping.

Lest we forget, the dollar is losing value against just about every major foreign currency. This alone could be causing some price increases.

Cheers,

Well, at least it makes our exports do better. Caterpillar is doing well.

But it'll be a long, long time before I see London again.

It does help a number of things "do better". Heck, at this rate the US will be a low labor cost country soon ;)

London has always been expensive, now it's past doubly so and into triply so territory.

Since none of these players are made in the US and in countries where the US $ is dumping that would make perfect sense why the increase. The $ exchange rate is being quoted as a reason for oil going through the roof.

Yes, but it is so much more fun to ascribe an ulterior motive for all of the web "news" sites ;) Simple economics? Nah, that can't have anything to do with it :D

For those that are humor challenged, that was sarcasm.
