I've used my Edision Mio+ with my Hauppague 950Q USB adapter, but not lately and not with my current TNAP 5.1.

When I plug the adapter into the USB connector and reboot, the Edision doesn't show it recognizes the adapter as Tuner C. I searched in all downloadable plugins and I don't see any for Hauppauge. Am I doing something wrong or does TNAP 5.1 just not support these adapters?

I had the same issue with 5.1. 5.0 works fine.

I just booted into an old version of TNAP 6 and it recognizes the Hauppauge. So this might be the reason to update my TNAP 6 and stay on it at least for now.

Known issue with the TNAP5.1 20240709 image. Never got fixed and we moved on to the TNAP6 test image. I have a copy of TNAP5.1 dated 20240529 for the MIO4k+ that was ok with the Hauppauge.

I just confirmed to myself that TNAP 5.1 20240427 works with the Hauppauge. This agrees with what you say. It's good to keep the image slots filled with different versions of TNAP for reasons like this.

I'm back to playing with the Hauppauge 950Q OTA dongle that connects to the Edision Mio+ USB port.

With a 125-foot RG6 run including a 30-dB ChannelMaster preamp and Clearstream 2V antenna mounted 3 feet high, I've just scanned in 15 UHF TV channels including the 9-channel METV mux found on C-band 101W. The transmitters are over 77 miles away as the bird flies according to rabbitears.info and these signals are classed as POOR or Bad.

Yet I'm receiving 23 dB, 15 dB and 18 dB from the three transmitters. The Hauppauge works!

Rabbitears Chart:
Received are first 3 channels plus all sub-channels.
