ESPN's 2007 Monday Night Football Preseason Schedule

Tirico, Jaworski and Kornheiser to Debut Aug. 13 with Broncos-49ers Game

ESPN will kickoff its Monday Night Football 2007 preseason schedule with the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers Monday, August 13 at 8 p.m. ET. The game will mark the debut of ESPN's new commentator team of Mike Tirico (play-by-play), analysts Ron Jaworski and Tony Kornheiser, and sideline reporters Suzy Kolber and Michele Tafoya. The ESPN crew will call four NFL preseason games during the month of August three on Mondays and one Thursday in anticipation of their regular-season debut on Monday, Sept. 10. All preseason games will begin at 8 p.m.

The Broncos-49ers opener will feature two of the most active teams this NFL off-season. The Broncos, led by second-year quarterback Jay Cutler, have added running back Travis Henry and cornerback Dre' Bly, while the 49ers signed free agent cornerback Nate Clements. On offense, the 49ers will be led by running back Frank Gore, who ran for a team-record 1,695 yards last season.

The Miami Dolphins will face the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday, Aug. 16 in ESPN's second preseason contest. The game will feature Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, and Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, who rushed for more than 1,700 yards in 2006.

On August 20, Brian Urlacher and the Chicago Bears will visit Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts in a rematch of Super Bowl XLI. It will also mark the first home game for the Super Bowl champion Colts.

ESPN's final preseason game will offer a match-up of star quarterbacks as Carson Palmer and the Cincinnati Bengals face Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons on Monday, Aug. 20.

ESPN'S MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL 2007 NFL PRESEASON SCHEDULE:
Date Time (ET) Teams
Monday, Aug. 13 8 p.m. Denver Broncos at San Francisco 49ers
Thursday, Aug. 16 8 p.m. Miami Dolphins at Kansas City Chiefs

Well they got rid of Theisman but they still have that annoying Kornholio! When they had opening night last season and they carried 2 monday night football games, the second game had Jaworski and Vermeil and I thought they were so much better than that stupid cast of Kornholio and Theisman. ESPN needs to fire Kornholio and get Vermeil to do that games. I could actually watch monday night football again if that happened!
