I can see an improvement overall. You are still going to have some games that look better than others. The digital noise has been cut dramatically IMO.
 
Calibration will run you from $350-$500, depending on who and travel. As someone who bought their own meter, I swear by it now, and still let Gregg Loewen do my main set.
 
Yep. Mine cost $450. Well worth it. I understand that some people think it is a waste but I really like accurate colors to go along with the blacks. He did my Samsung LCD (which I still have and like) a few years ago.

BTW. That damn lime green field the Champs Bowl is playing on sure is ugly. LOL
