G-18 (old G-10R) @ 123W

Can someone tell me what is going on with many G-18 channels? I use this bird mostly for news on a 1 meter motorized Fortec Ku dish.

While I'm hitting G-18 OK (I think), my Pansat 3500/SD lists many "free" G-18 channels with good quality, but I get no pic or sound on these. When selected, a couple channels give a short blip of sound but then go quiet with no pic. I do get pic and sound on several other G-18 channels e.g. SNG, 12103 for ABC, so my set-up is OK.

If these 'dead' channels are encrypted, why does my 3500/Sd display 'em as free with good quality? Does this have something to do with Equity or some other encryption that my Pansat doesn't recognize?

All the Equity channels are gone (TP's 11720 and 11800)

Equity channels sold.....will leave satellite...now gone

Interesting that people associate G18 with the old G10 (G0 on the 4DTV). I found G18 further east of where G10 was.

Where did the channels go on G10/18? READ ME FIRST!!
