H396 Software Version

I have been having an issue lately when you start watching a program that is still recording and you start from the beginning once you skip and catch up to live it freezes. The only way to fix this is to change the channel and then go back to the original channel.

brittanygarden - Experienced an issue with Channel 626-05 yesterday which is a streaming channel so basically, this is what happened. The current time was 8:10PM San Francisco time and the program schedule is as follows:
1:00PM-3:00PM, 4:00PM-6:00PM, 6:00PM-7:00PM, 7:00PM-8:00PM and 8:00PM-10:00PM
so basically I had paused earlier during the day so 8:10PM was basically showing what was at 7:50PM. I hit replay/rewind, it goes to 8:00PM and then jumps to 6:00PM, it appears the buffer goes back to 1:00PM as I can play everything up to 6:00PM from 1:00PM but from 6:00PM, it is missing everything from 6:00PM-8:00PM as it will go from 6:00PM to 8:00PM as 8:00PM is the start time of the current show. Assuming the time was still 7:59PM, I can go all the way back to 7:00PM without issues but the 6:00PM-7:00PM would be missing.
This is with Hopper software H397 and Hopper Plus Software P13712

Thank you! I'll take a look into this. I've seen your other posts as well and have already passed them on to the team.

Thanks, I want to also mention that the issue I mentioned earlier:
"H381, H382, H383, H385, H386, H387, H388, H390, and H392 has the issue where the Remote Control Mode Reminder Notification is always on where it will display that the remote needs to be in SAT mode when on TV and AUX even when Settings -> Notifications -> Remote Control Mode Reminder is set to Off. This was originally discovered by Pepper that it still exists in H397." no longer appears to be a issue when I tested it with the Hopper Plus disconnect and connected so maybe Pepper and others can confirm if this is still an issue or not. For the HDMI CEC when set to on, if I am on another input on the TV, and then hit the SAT button on the DISH Remote, is the correct behavior supposed to be changing the tv's input to the Hopper 3's input on the TV? As that is how it behaves with the Hopper Plus connected but when the Hopper Plus is not connected, it does not do anything.

Remote Control reminder is working properly now for my Hopper Plus and Joey 4s.

In addition to what I said earlier....
I decided to unplug the Hopper Plus, unplugged the Hopper H3 power cord for 1 minutes before plugging it back in, everything works correctly so when I power off and on the tv with the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it remains on channel 626-05 which is a streaming channel. However, the HDMI-CEC set to on when I have the tv on another input that is not the Hopper H3 and hit SAT on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes while the TV is on, it does not do anything. When HDMI-CEC is set to on with the Hopper Plus connected and when I have the tv on another input that is not the Hopper H3 and hit SAT on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes while the TV is on, it would switch to the input the Hopper H3 is connected to.

After I plug the Hopper Plus back into the Hopper H3, the results are different depending on what channel I am on when I power off and on the TV with the TV power button on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes:
1) If I was on Channel 626-05 which is streaming before the tv was turned off, with HDMI-CEC turned on and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be in standby mode and ask to hit the SAT button which I hit and it's on Channel 101 DISH Scapes
2) If I was on Channel 626-05 which is streaming before the tv was turned off, with HDMI-CEC turned off and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be on Channel 101 DISH Scapes.
3) If I was on Channel 252 which is streaming before the tv was turned off, whether HDMI-CEC is on or off and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be on Channel 251 which is non-streaming.
4) If I was on Channel 251 which is non-streaming before the tv was turned off, whether HDMI-CEC is on or off and then hit TV Power on the DISH 50.0 and 52.0 remotes, it would be on Channel 251 which is non-streaming.

So the problem is definitely with the Hopper Plus connected to the Hopper H3 while the Hopper H3 without the Hopper Plus connected works fine other than the HDMI CEC set to on issue mentioned.
brittanygarden - Also want to mention that with the Hopper Plus (Software vP13712) connected to the Hopper H3 (Software vH397) with HDMI-CEC set to off and the TV already on and watching 626-05, all I had to do was using the DISH Remote (50.0 and 52.0):
Hit Home, selected the Gear on the screen which goes to the Settings menu, then "Device Preferences", About, Software Update and then return from there and it would also have gone back to Channel 101 DISH Scapes.

There is another issue as well, is the screen that shows up here, which is after hitting Home on the DISH Remote (50.0 and 52.0), where I have the arrow pointing in the photo below, isn't that supposed to show something like the Weather instead of what it is showing as when I click on it, it does show the weather in a bigger full screen for San Francisco on The Weather Channel:

charlesrshell - Can you do the Home button once and see what it shows for the same icon only when you won't get in trouble to see what it shows on yours with a Hopper Plus connected Hopper 3? Thanks!
