A quick look at the map on that one, I thought it was Mobile Bay, near me. Nope, Huntsville.
Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Borrow a trailer and go for it. Spooky...on Highway 8 in central New Brunswick, near Rogersville, NB, every other house seems to have an old BUD installed. I often thought they were waiting for somebody to offer to take them away.

There is a fellow over on Satforums who lives north of San Francisco with some equipment he wants to give away. If anyone is interested I could try to message him and get his contact information. Here's what he posted:

I live north of CA. bay area and have about a half a pickup load of C recievers, remotes, NOS c and ku lnbs, 7 way cable, and miscellaneous hardware. Ready to take most all to recycling. Receivers are just limited dish movers, Not worth to mess with listing and trying to sell IMO. especially ship.

Just so everyone knows, I also have a 10.5ft Raydx dish and mine has LARGE mesh and isn't optimal for Ku stuff. So keep this in mind if you need/want that one Casey posted the link to.

Just saying...................

8ft Beachcraft fiberglass dish, Fasco actuator, pole and DSR 922. $5 opening bid or Buy It Now for $50. Local pickup in Pueblo, Colorado area. Not optimal size these days but still might be worth it for experimenting. 🙂

I use a 7.5-8ft SAMI dish, and while I would for SURE recommend any newbies to start with a minimum of a 10ft dish, mine works fairly well for what I use it for. This 8 footer could be fine, if they can't find anything else.

I would NOT go any lower size than that, and not even bother with a 6 foot dish anymore
