Just wondering if anyone has heard of the DirecTV Loyalty Group. I called customer service and told them that I've been a customer for over 20 years and that my bill was now over $160 per month. I asked if there wasn't some discount for a long time customer. I was transferred to another area called the Loyalty Group and after asking a few questions, the rep offered me a $30 per month discount for the next 24 months. That's a $720 total discount! The only requirement is that I remain a customer during the 24 months, which I certainly will. I had never heard of this branch of their customer service area but they sure satisfied me.

Sounds like the new name for the retention department. Maybe it's an AT&T thing?

I have been a customer for 8 years, they gave me $30 for 12 months with agreement. Also offered a free Genie set up to replace my HR22, R22 and HR24. Haven't done that yet.

I also called and got the same deal, $30/month off for two years, plus a Genie. Since I'll be around for the 2 years of the deal, I might as well get the upgraded equipment. It will actually be $27/month since I have to get whole home with the Genie.
