Who care about an interim GM?? It's more important to know who the "permanent" replacement will be. When was the last time an interim GM made any impact moves??

They should offer the job to Danny Snyder. Imagine what he could do without a salary cap. He could sign Hank Aaron and Willie Mays.

Ran the Reds into the ground and got rewarded for it by being allowed to run the Expos/Nats into the ground. And apparently involved in some kind of weird con game.

But skimming the players' pay. Isn't that the kind of thing a union is supposed to guard against. Probably too busy making sure that a tiny miniority are allowed to take drugs to cheat and keeping salaries artificially high with strikes where it refuses to negioate to do its J O B .

You should have heard Marty Brennaman rip all over him on XM yesterday. He stated that Bowden kept his job because of the friendships he established with the owners of each team. He went on to say Stan Kasten tried to fire him but the Lerner's would not allow it. Well, you reap what you sow.
