So if anyone still has any doubts about Alabama would completely destroy Oregon, I am sure last night showed you a preview. No way in Hell ANY offense in this country is putting up 700+ yards and 60 points against Alabama. Does the pac 12 even put a defense on the field or do they just let the other team score and hope they can do the same only more times? It's like they play musical chairs and just each go score until the music stops and hope they are ahead when it does.

I don't need a computer to tell me what my eyes already know, Notre Dame's schedule is garbage. Stanford is the only team on their schedule that's ranked, and that took a bogus ref call to do so. Next 2 weeks they play the 2 worst teams in a medicore ACC. Alabama, KState and Oregon are vastly superior teams, so are a lot of 1 and 2 loss teams that should be ranked higher. It's ashamed that it doesn't work that way and you get reawrded for playing crap.

Actually Oklahoma is still ranked 12th and was ranked 8th when they beat them, Michigan State was ranked 10th, Michigan was ranked 18th, Stanford was ranked 17th and is now 14th, and as of right now they still have a ranked USC on their schedule. ND has already played 4 ranked teams and USC will probably ranked when they play them the last week of the season for a 5th.

Oregon has only played 3, Arizona 22, Washington 23, and that same USC team being the best they have played. Kansas State has also played 4 ranked teams but the same Oklahoma team ND beat is the best team they have played. Kansas State beat them by 5 while ND beat them by 17. Now some of the teams ND beat aren't ranked anymore but they were at the time they played them. Washington isn't ranked anymore either and after last night Texas Tech and Oklahoma State probably won't be. ND's schedule holds up very well against K State and Oregon and it includes the best teams each of them play.

Edit: I do believe Alabama is the best team in the country but I thought I would add them to this too. They have only played 3 ranked teams and one of them is that same Michigan team that ND played. Bama has played more crap than ND. You point out the weakest games on ND's schedule but you leave off W. Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, and W. Carolina from Bama. You also left out Arkansas State, Fresno State, Tennessee Tech, Washington State, and Colorado from Oregon. They played more cupcakes than anyone but they should be rewarded for it?

Meanwhile Boise loses at home for the 4th time IN 13 YEARS!
San Diego State beat them late last night

Meanwhile NDSU beats Missouri State and will be the #1 team tomorrow (thank you Appy State for beating GA Southern)

So does anybody else get sick of this BCS and ranking system?Oh we are down in the rankings, therefore we need to win by 70 so we can try to move up.:rolleyes:It's sad that FBS is so political. For the bizillionth time, please set up a playoff system and may the best team win.No politics and $$$ to determine the national champion.

Speaking on behalf of the other ASU,your welcome!:D App.St.really needed that win to keep in the hunt for an at large playoff spot. There is an outside shot they could end up in a tie for the Southern Conference title if Chattanooga can beat Wofford.

This would be a perfect year for it to start but unfortunately the four team playoff doesn't start until 2014. If Alabama, K State, Notre Dame and Oregon all stay undefeated this would have been a fun year to see the 4 team playoff.

Joker Phillips is toast.

After much conversation, evaluation and prayer, I have determined that it is in the best interest of our athletics program to make a change in our football coaching staff at the conclusion of the season. I do so with a heavy heart for a man who has served his alma mater for almost 22 years as a player and a coach. Joker Phillips has carried the banner for the Blue and White with honor and pride. I have enjoyed working alongside him and am thankful for his friendship for the last decade. His concern for the entire program, his work and teaching of young people, his humanitarian work, and the friendship we all enjoy with him will long surpass the scoreboard. I want to thank him for all of those things on behalf of Kentucky.

The search for a new head coach will begin immediately and will be managed internally. I understand the challenge and significance of finding a new leader for our football program. It will be done with great concern for our student-athletes, students of the University of Kentucky, the Big Blue Nation and the citizens of the Commonwealth. Kentucky Football needs to be and will be a championship contender in the SEC.

hahahahahahaha

exactly what do they plan to do? resurrect Bear Bryant? Because he was the last (and only coach) that ever had a Kentucky football team at the top of the SEC.

Hmmm, sounds like the same story as the old Big 12 .... no D*.

Wait a minute, you guys conveniently say that the team WAS rated when they played, doesn't count if they are no longer all the time, NOW it does count that they WERE rated ?

Another case in point. The ranking system is extremely flawed.Hey we beat USC when they were number 1,that should score us more points in the bcs standings.Doesn't matter that they are now barely in the top 25.There shouldn't even be any rankings until at least mid season.Still wouldn't be great but,at least it would be a little more accurate.

No I think it does matter that they were ranked at the time. Part of the reason their rankings dropped is because they lost to the team in question.

My post was in response to the guy who said ND only played 1 ranked team, Stanford, and their schedule was garbage. I pointed out their schedule compared to the other unbeaten teams to show that that isn't the case at all.

I agree, but without early rankings, the media and fans don't have these discussions.

If you wait till later in the season, say week 7 of 12, you have a smaller window of time to move, thus making the initial poll, VERY IMPORTANT.

Kentucky (4-2) sorta tied with Georgia (5-1) that year in the SEC (Georgia won the head-to-head tie breaker), therefore the Dawgs got the trophy and the Wildcats got an asterick.

The reason Kentucky sorta tied with Georgia was that Miss St. forfieted their win over Kentucky. Plus, Kentucky went on probation the following year, due to paying players during the 1976 season.
