Which model? Are you streaming to a STB for playback?
is there some way to watch without external streaming?
Whats the direct output, VGA?The tuner is a Tandberg RX1290. It's supposed to display 4:2:2 directly. No streaming involved

I stream via my wifi to my laptop running PotPlayer and connect the HDMI port back to the TV. I have no way to view 4.2.2 without streaming. Comfortably_numb is working to watch 4.2.2 directly from his receiver without streaming. To watch 4:2:2 feed from Edison Mio do you stream to another device for playback or is there some way to watch without external streaming?
From page 12 of the manual, MPEG 4:2:2 mode support (MPEG 2 Only)SDI, which is then fed into a converter to output HDMI

According to what cyberham posted, its AVC or h.264 which is what your receiver was telling you. Your receiver can't decode it.Is the feed on 89 MPEG 2?

Which feeds have you received that are h.264? I ask because where in the manual do you see that it supports h.264 or mpeg4?The receiver decodes h.264 just fine.. it's been tuning all unscrambled FTA feeds except HEVC h.265

Is that a 4:2:2 feed? The manual specifies MPEG 4:2:2 mode support (MPEG 2 Only)PBS on 99 KU is one example.
Is that a 4:2:2 feed?
My apologies for the confusion as I was referring to 4:2:2. Unfortunately the manual specifies for 4.2.2 feeds it only supports mpeg2. For regular 4:2:0 feeds, yes h.264 is supported. See manual page 12. You won't be able to view any 4:2:2 feeds with that recevier. No, it's MPEG-4 h.264. You asked me which feeds the receiver has tuned that are h.264 MPEG-4.
