Just called DTV and they advised that I qualify for a new dvr for free. They should be here on monday morning, hopefully HR24, I asked the CS lady to make a note about it. I'm very exited about it.

It's very doubtful you will get an HR24 unless you are in one of the test markets for them. Columbia MO, Fresno CA, Denver CO, and Portland OR are those markets. They are on eBay, so they will likely be in Best Buy and Costco fairly soon.

also just remember you just increased you service contrat when they call in to activate the box.

Are you sure it was an HD DVR and not an SD DVR?

They advised me that the hr24 was in the warehouse so I got hr 23 insted. No problem I'm happy, also 24 months contract and is ok.
