Caught the 4k HDR NFL game Colts - Texans.

Same old story about picture artifacts and pixelaton doing slo-mo replays and
poor picture especially during the replays and slo-mo.

But the HDR was nice to see.
Not great but better than SDR.

The white uniforms were much toned down with HDR and some detail.

But oddly the dark area's and black or dark blue uniforms really went dark and you didn't seem much detail.

Was watching on a Sony OLED 77" size I think.
Definately not 4k quality much of the time.
Even poor HD at times on the wide shots.

But the close ups like others have said do look impressive in 1080P HDR.

Wonder if next year they will spend money and get serious about REAL 100% 4K and HDR.
All cameras and studio gear all replays all 4k to my TV.
Or if they will cheap out for another year.

If only the International Olympics Org. would hire out for US sports. lol

LOTS of improvement still needs to be made by the NFL and Fox in their football 4k coverage.
Even this fake 4k 1080P HDR hasn't even been perfected. At times the picture would break up like HD did
years ago. That should be a thing of the past unless there is a weather issue.

But HDR is a huge thing wish all TV was HDR.
HLG does still need to better.
Maybe a Dolby Vision HDR LIVE format will eventually happen.

Yes, I will agree. A major holiday and they skip the 4K when more people are home and could enjoy it live.
And show their friends and familes

Very stupid move by the NFL.
