Prgrams run long, cant adjust stop times

I just noticed that when a program intentionally runs 1 minute long, my DVR will not allow me to adjust the stop time to stop recording 1 minute earlier. On all other recorded programs, I have this option.

Does this mean TW Columbus is preventing me from stopping the recording earlier intentionally to support the networks?

Any thoughts?

If you are recording a series, you can adjust the start time and the ending times when you set it up to record the series, because I have done so on American Idol. I haven't tried to adjust the recording time while a program was actually recording, perhaps you cant make the change there.

This is a dirty network trick that also affects those who just want to change to another network at the top of the hour. Costs us the meaningful first minute of the next favorite program. Too bad that the FCC can't or won't do anything to stop this practice.
