The co-worker stabbing policy in Starfleet is a tad bit more forgiving than I think I would be comfortable with.
Not certain about ship moral after that decision.

Forgot to watch this week's episode. Thanks for reminding me.What, no comments on E3?
It was Star Trek: Strange New Acid Trips, but there were some genuine laughs in there along with all the weirdness.
If they wanted to do a comedy, at least have a solid underlying story (e.g. The Trouble With Tribbles), but this really didn't have much of that at all (it was very thin).
So, for me, 2.5 out of 5 stars (YMMV). I rank this with the worst of season 2 eps.
You summed up my thoughts on the episode, though I would rate it as 1.5 out of 5. Too over the top for most of it.What, no comments on E3?

Yep, agree completely with your spoiler! You summed up my thoughts on the episode, though I would rate it as 1.5 out of 5. Too over the top for most of it.
As I saw on another site, first we had "Jurassic Park", then "Event Horizon", and now a combo of "Hangover" and "Dude, Where's My Car?" Of course, we still have "The Muppet Movie" coming up!
Why wasn't Kirk affected by the atmosphere? Based on the TOS, he should have been at a brothel/orgy the whole time!
One highlight that did make me really laugh was Nurse Chapel at the Bingo Hall!
Everything is better in the original Klingon.Uhura's journey thing was worth a couple of chuckles too, as was Una's karaoke trip.
How an 80's hit became a Klingon ballad just pulled me out of the episode though.
Now THAT would've been hysterical!I just WISH they had done Bohemian Rhapsody instead, including the music video, lol.

It feels like we're stuck in the middle of a running of brainfarts up the flagpole and watching for what resonates. Eureka did this in one of its later seasons, but it was arguably better received. It was funny and a nice change of pace compared to the week before with the horror story and cutting off Spock's ears.
This is a paradox that perhaps didn't get enough attention. SNW is set in 2259, but The Cage was set in 2254.But it still doesn't account for "The Cage".
As long as they end up with Pike in a wheelchair on Talos IV with Vena. Then they end up where they are supposed to.Strange New Worlds is going to end up being a dream of events played out in Pikes mind when returned to the Cage/Menagerie.
And they have to have the same actors as were in The Cage.As long as they end up with Pike in a wheelchair on Talos IV with Vena. Then they end up where they are supposed to.
Same thing I thought. The "Noir" thing was good, but since the Enterprise wasn't supposed to be in the system, I didn't get why the b&w "noir" effect there too.Today's episode was an interesting twist on "A Piece of the Action" and a holodeck Noir episode. It didn't make sense that the story on the Enterprise was likewise "Noir" since they should have been outside the Star system causing the interference with color receptors (maybe a region of space?)
Anyway, I enjoyed the episode, which gave Una a chance to think on her feet. Just don't be too critical or you might ask too many questions about mission assignment and why certain crew are doing what they did.
And, next week is supposed to be the transporter accident with "muppets", so be prepared to be amused/disappointed.
