The Human to Vulcan/Romulon transformation was done before in the original series.
IIRC, all TOS transformations were makeup alterations limited to appearance changes. Subsequent Star Treks (in real time, not in stardate) engaged in surgical alterations of appearance.

More recently are we seeing temporary genetic alterations of appearance (Strange New Worlds S1E1).

Spock has lost control of his emotions several times (making him more Romulan than human). The SNW episode Charades (S2E5) is the first time a comprehensive Vulcan to human transition was made.

AFAIK, this is the first instance where a full racial and cultural change from human to Vulcan is achieved (although we haven't seen them bleed green blood yet).

Damn. I wonder what it was that I posted?
If I remember correctly, it was Pike deciding what to do with his impossible situation. To which he responds, "Release the Moopsy" or something like that.
You're lucky, I found that I texted it to my Trekkie friend last year.

Wow. I had forgotten that and had to look it up. From Lower Decks and I guess at least a crossover comment from the future in SNW.

Pacific Northwest, where it rains a lot...
A couple of those scenes remind of the musical episode. :eeek
Yeah, I really hope they don't do anything like that again. Been waiting almost 2 years for S3 and with only 10 episodes comprising a season now, I really don't want to see a dud again. A semi-comedy, ok, but man, please not a musical again...

Sadly, my one Trekker friend died after the Season 2 Finale.😔
My dad was looking forward to SNW. Unfortunately he passed a few weeks before the premiere. However, we were able to watch many shows while he was in the hospital that he wanted to watch but had put off until he had time as he didn't think my stepmom would like them. The Mandalorian was the first thing we watched.

Someone is sticking their neck out for an August 1 premiere. It is about time.

The wall was supposed to eliminate most of the post-shooting CGI so what's the holdup?

The strike delayed things, to resume filming, had to wait on some of the actors availability.

The wall only helps with background shots, it still takes about a year for the special effects to be done/finished.

The good news is, they are already filming Season 4, so should be the typical year's wait

Are you speaking of the actor's strike that ended three months before filming began, or are you talking about the writer's strike that ended three months before that?

It seems like the only time that happens is when they do two seasons in one go.

It isn't like the transporter effect has become so much more involved in 60 years.
