Affordable Insurance for Satellite Broadband

StarBand recently introduced an extended service "protection plan" for its customers. The plan, administered for StarBand members by Television & Appliance Warranty, Inc. (TAW), offers customers additional protection against unforeseen hardware and labor repair costs.

All StarBand customers, regardless of how long they have had the service, may enroll in the protection plan. With coverage at $4.99 per month, retailers can now get all their customers set-up on the plan to begin an "insurance" policy for their equipment.

That would be a very wise choice for consumers seeing how expensive the hardware can be if it would need replacing. It will just have to be clearly stated to consumers that only the hardware is covered and not service calls under this type of insurance.
