My STB gets stuck on one channel and it won't list channels let alone play.
It doesn't even allow me to turn it off from remote button(satellite).
I have to switch off from power line to bring it back up.

Has happened atleast 3-4 times in last month.

I would request a replacement. I have two of them and don't get this. With all the stb's problems reported here, I must be lucky to get two that do not have to reboot and don't get stuck and hardly need anything on my part.

Just get it replaced.

When a lock-up like this occurs, you can also press the power button (on the STB itself) for 5-6 seconds.

FYI: Switching channels too quickly (2-3 clicks a second) increases the likelihood of a lock-up (in ver. 5.68).

Consider yourself lucky. It's happened to me 3 or 4 times in the last few days. What sucks is that it sometimes takes the guide almost an hour to download after rebooting.

same happened to be the other day 3 times in one day but I am used to that with Motorola equipment. I also have a 4dtv receiver by them that acts up. So no surprises

Never had one lock up...

With two receivers, and one of them in a remote-happy teenager's room.

Must be lucky, I guess. :)
