okay but what about this being included in the NFL sunday ticket, are people without the sunday ticket going to get blackedout on the NFl network channel?

I am still not sure if the games will air. My guide has standard NFL network programming listed. I checked other sports channels for 8/11 and see nothing listed related to pre-season football. Does anyone know for sure?

I checked channel 212 last night and it had "HD" in the box for the game on 8/12 at 7am (PT).

I Noticed that D* has not populated the H/D col. with channel nbrs yet. Sept
does have the S/T channel nbrs(not H/D yet)..perhaps they still will put some
#'s in that col.?

Maybe channel 212 will be one of those channels which automatically gives HD when available.

BTW: They have not listed one Channel 95 HD MLB game online this season even though they have the column for that purpose. They can't even get the HD games in the various EPGs to be the same and up-to-date. I checked last night and they had Wednesday and Thursday but not today. :)

This is because the networks don't decide what games will be in HD until a week or two before. DirecTV posts the channel numbers for HD usually by Thursday the week before the games.

For all you guys that can't find when pre-season games will be on should perhaps just visit www.nfl.com and get the schedule of when they will be on the NFLNetwork or other station (like ESPN or NBC for example). ;)

www.nfl.com/nflnetwork

Pre-season football is never on Sunday Ticket. NFL Network will broadcast all pre-season games. Some on delay because they can't show more then one game at a time. :D

The NFL network WILL switch to HD when available. The Bears vs. 49ers game is in HD on 8-12 at 3am est. My guide even has the HD symbol next to it.

very true...I also have HD symbol next to some pre-season games on 212.

does that mean that NFL Network is only broadcasting their live games in HD? Sounds good to me, but I know a lot of people out there would be pissed...especially come Thanksgiving.

Here's a question. Will DirecTV black out games on the sports channels (600 stations) that are broadcast live?

In Pittsburgh they are broadcasting all the Steelers preseason games on Fox Sports Pittsburgh (channel 628 on DirecTV). If I am not in the Pittsburgh area but have the sports package will I be able to watch those games live or will they be blacked out?

I think, IF you are not in the Steelers area you will not be able to see the game (thier FSN footprint.)

In addition to 52 preseason games, NFL Network will present NFL Total Access:No Huddle, a live look-in show that whips around to NFL preseason games in progress. Three No Huddle shows will air during the preseason, including a record 12-game whip around on Aug. 31.

Of the 52 games it will carry nationally during the preseason, NFL Network will produce two live games and televise four others live (to all but the two competing team markets).

Maybe not on 95 now, I am watching the 24/7 on E* and it is Giants feed on both SD and HD for the second half. Nice of them to have the HD feed on the HD channel for the whole game and not switch coverage like they do on the SD channel.
