Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I just looked at the diagram again....I see you have 1 diseqc switch and then run a 22k switch....so....will this work: Fortec receiver will be hooked to a diseqc, then a coax will go to my G10/IA7 that will have a 22k switch and the primestar will be hooked to the diseqc switch? The Primestar dish and fortec dishes are mounted at opposite sides of my yard. Thanks for the help!

I have a Universal LNB, but I would have that hooked up to the Diseqc, and my Standards hooked up to the 22k. Would that work? Thanks :-)

Keep in mind the universal has a 22khz switch built in. This switch changes the bands and LO from 9750 to 10600. Which is why you can force the universal to only scan the upper KU band (US) by setting it to standard, LO=10600, and 22khz=ON.

You could do something like a 22khz switch at the house. On lead goes to a diseqc on the house for stationary dishes, then the other lead goes to the KU rig with a diseqc for a circular leg and a linear leg.

OK, I must be missing something here. By looking at the switch diagram from Sadoun's web site, it shows that the coax from the LNB IN on the fortec would go to a DISEQC switch, which would then feed a 22k switch that I would have 2 standard lnb's hooked to. Now, back to the diseqc switch, I would run a coax from one of the empty ports to my universal lnb. So, on the DISEQC switch, I would have this: PORT 1 = 22 khz switch which would feed my 2 standard lnbs. PORT 2 = Universal LNB PORT 3 = empty PORT 4 = EMPTY.
Does this sound like it would work? Thanks for the input! I am probably just confusing things more :-)

yes that will work Larry

receiver-----diseqc-------------universal LNB
---------------diseqc------22k port----standard LNB
-----------------------------22k port----standard LNB

You cant mix a UNiversal and a 22k in the same line. But what you posted above will work just fine :)

Even though it is 100 degrees out, I put the Primestar dish on the pole, and am blind scanning as we speak. I still can't figure out lyngsat. So, once the scan is done,I hope to know which way to go.

Whatever I am on I got a great signal! heres a few #'s: 12112 H 30000, 12127 H 30000, 11735 V 30000, 11935V 3928, 1267 V 19984 to name a few. Well, scan is done, stand by!

Showing : Occasional 1 National Lab Network, Occasional , Occassional, are some of the unscrambled. LETN, TXCN and more are $ channels.

What's there to figure out? Freq and polarity listed on the left. Scan over to the right and you'll see the SR and FEC for the mux. Look down and you'll find the VPID's but you don't need those if you can do TP scans or read the entire mux with TSReader.

you're on 91...you're going the wrong way :)

91 has G11 and Nimiq1. Universals sometimes get the DBS stuff

if you need G10, you need to move the dish 30 degrees to the west

THANKS! I am going for IA5. I just put the Primestar up, and can't see the other dishes so I just guessed where to point it ;-) As for lyngsat....I see the t # like 12672 and the pol (V) but then I don't see 19984 listed. Let me go back and check it out. THanks again!

if you're going for IA5, make a mark on the mast and move the dish abvout 1/8" to the west (from the marking)
