DISH / Blockbuster Announcement Discussion Thread!

I have the Platinum pack promo until Feb (I think feb) and a 612. So if not available on the 612 or Roku no streaming for me...

I compiled a list of questions from this thread that you guys had and sent them over to DISH for answers. :)

Thanks for being SatelliteGuys! Once again we were 100% on the money!

So I kind of missed this part, but this is unlimited streaming for an additional $10 right?

I mean, I have a 722K with AT 120 right now. If I added the Dish/Blockbuster Movie Pass for $10 to my bill on October 1, I would get to stream as many movies and TV shows (from Dish Online's library) as much I want to either TV1 or TV2 for just this additional $10 a month?

Is one of the questions what those of us already with Platinum have to do, if anything to start using the new package??

Any mention of them replacing our 622's with 722's for FREE, with no commitment?

yaz you wanna bet there will be a commitment to do this unless you talk to retention :D :) they should do without commitments to get rid of older model receivers not that the 622 is old but others are :)

So is this a good summary:

$10 - "more than 20 premium movie channels", streaming and 1 out at a time
$15 - adds 2 out at a time
$20 - adds 3 out at a time

Looking at Platinum, its not really 20 premium movie channels...

Their PR says streaming will work with all DISH Network HD DVR's.. so at this point I can only guess the 622 will work too.

I will have to keep an eye on this one. I don't see it as a viable option for me until the streaming works on the XBox 360..don't need it on Roku or Boxee Box as long as it works on the 722 and 722k. Android and ios would be a plus but not a must have thing.
