Streaming will be more viable for us once Verizon upgrades the towers between where we live and where I work. There is one dead spot where I go into Extended and there are several spots where I'm in Verizon territory but it's in 2G.

You should give the Wilson sleek cradle a try it boosts the signal from a roof mounted antenna while your phone sits in the cradle. Try to go for the Verizon LTE capable model to be ready when it comes.

Icould NOT sub to the Sirius on the car radio, but I would rather have it over the locals here as the signals are always noisy locally and they refuse to address it, the station I use to listen to locally was on a AM station , they have moved to the FM dial, but the problem moved with it, so having SiriusXM I can get the same programming without the added noise ....

I think what I'll do when I do get the car is to have the Sirius on for 6 months free, then sub, as expected and like others have mentioned, stream the ball games from my SiriusXM app on the cell phone, which should be relatively easy to do.

I have a Stand alone XM already in my Work Truck, I would hate to have to put a Stand Alone in a brand new car !

I doubt you'll see "Unlimited" data anymore .... it's another way for the compaines to make more money.

That said, I still have my Sprint plan that does have Unlimited and have NO PLANS to change it.

Sprint has basically said that they have no plans to change, it's their differentiator for now, especially till they get the Network Vision network (their new 4G/LTE and re-rollout of the rest) up all the way.

I have Sprint here in Austin, and it works great.

If it's a 4G/LTE phone. you need to do NOTHING. It's transparent. For older 3G phones, it's also transparent. The 4G/WIMAX phones (no longer sold) will NOT get the new 4G/LTE speeds, but will
see improved 3G service.

Thats interesting, because I don't know which it is, the phone I use is a Samsung Epic, it's a 3g/4g, but I don't know if it will work with the new LTE stuff.

Yes, it was released before the LTE stuff came out ...
Does this mean I will need to change phones if I want to use 4G ? (if it ever becomes available here).
Is it worth it to go to 4g ?

If I do, I will probably look into the iPhones, even though I hate not having a Physical keyboard, unless iPhone should bring one out, but I really doubt that they would.

I've seen 16M/5m+ on LTE here in Austin, so YES, it's worth it. I think the physical keyboard is going the way of the dodo bird. Even my Daughter who almost always insisted on the Physical Keyboard has gotten used to her Evo 4G LTE with just virtual keyboards. I love my S3 and the Kii keyboard (or Swype, or Swiftkey Flow).

Yes, any new 4G is LTE, so you'll need a new phone to get 4G speeds.
