I should make the 700K Point Club today!

A day of Milestones!

well i made the 300k club today. Have been running my quad core oc'd to 3ghz no issues using 4 consoles (smp too when i have to meet the deadline) plus got my PS3 folding pretty much 24 hours during the week.
Getting some weird wu's though Some double gromacs -that basically only have 50 frames (makes Fahmon confused about status and eta) and then some SIM T gromacs that take for ever and only gibe like 172 points - not complaining just weird stuff never seen before. Anyway 10 million is just around the corner.

Well after my last electric bill, I'm not going to be folding on my PS3 anymore. And I'm going to get rid of one of my older media servers. Sorry guys!

I fully understand...I only fold during the colder months. I just strategically place my little PS3 heaters and just heat the home with propane (don't turn on the heat pump upstairs).

I have shut down Folding on my Dad's new Mac Mini (burning it in, you know? ;)) when I checked into the temperatures that were being generated. The CPU and memory was running over 80?. Celsius. To its credit, it never missed a beat or made much fan noise (maybe it should have!), but you could tell it was crunching as it was nice and warm to the touch.

In contrast, my Mac Pro with the two Dual Core Xeons run at 40-45?C and the fans are barely spinning at 600rpm. I have no idea how much electricity the Mac Pro uses while Folding, but the Mini uses a 65W brick P/S, so it can't be much.

The hottest, noisiest Folder is my HP nx9600 notebook, followed by the HP d325 Athlon. For the minuscule amount of points they generate, I might as well shut them down. The d325 usually runs at 9-10 pph, the nx9600 at 8-10 pph. The Mac Pro screams at closer to 98 pph depending on the Project.

Hey, riffjim4069 and FunkyBoss, congratulations on making the 100K Points Club!

The team's production has been sliding quite a bit this week...
Slide? Oh, yeah, take a look at the attached file below...
Reasons for my decline: my HP Notebook hasn't been checking in (may be tied to the Server issues mentioned previously); I shut down the SMP agent on my Dad's Mac Mini (CPU temps were >80?C ); and my Athlon's hard drive has making a racket, so I'm scrounging around for another 6-14 GB IDE drive to stick in it.
...but we just passed 10,000,000 points...Quite a milestone.
Sorry I missed the milestone day; I was out skiing! :)

If they ever get around to releasing a service version of the quad folder they will probably see a huge increase in productivity. If I do not constantly watch MS will patch, it will get hung, or something else will stop it. The command line version needs a lot of hand holding.

I have been running the SMP version on my quad core at home for a couple months now without problems. I stop it from running every now and again to play games, but start it back up right afterwards without any issues.

Question, if I have my PS3 system on and PC system on at the same time, they both have the same username and are in the same team, if I complete 1, will it still go towards my username? or will it make a duplicate?
I can have my PS3 on all times and CPU...I'd like to have both of them counting as 1 and go to my stats under IcEWoLF.

I guess the question is, If I have username selected on my PS3 as IcEWoLF, and username selected on my PC as IcEWoLF too, it would count as 1 IcEWoLF, instead of having two of me in there even if one of them is console and the other one is on my Desktop, correct?
Sorry if I am confusing...

As long as your user name and team number are the same, all points will be added to said user name and team number. Welcome aboard.
