Hopper With Sling S515 Update Is Here

So what happened to the double secret beta testing program? Did that get cancelled with no explanation again, or do they just ignore tester reports like they ignore everybody else's reports?

First off, the Joeys are slooooooooooooow since 515 hit. We have a HWS, Super Joey and two regular Joeys. The HWS and the Super are very fast, regular Joeys have been at a crawl since the update. Talking guide scrolling, apps.
I noticed that too. Very annoying since it wasn't slow before the update. I hope there is a fix for this on the way.

I didn't see anyone mention DishAnywhere being fixed. When I tried dish anywhere before S515 it did not see my new HWS. Now with S515 it works fine, and it was released on December 3rd just as promised!
And to add to the excitement we found our CBS channel working just fine last night!
What else can I ask for!

Is there a bug with Dish Anywhere? Teaching the wife to use I Pad and first channel she wanted was 222, her favorite shopping channel, oh Lordy. I can't get 222 to appear in guide. Am I doing something wrong or is it a Dish issue ? It works by direct entry.

Dish Anywhere wasn't broken

In case you were unaware, if a channel doesn't show in the Dish Anywhere guide all you need to do is just start watching any channel and then use the Dish Anywhere remote and type in the channel you actually want to watch.

Dish Anywhere wasn't broken
With my replacement HWS dish anywhere was broken. Before replacement it worked then after my hopper was not listed on the dish anywhere account listing.
I spent half an hour with tech support and found that it was a known problem and a fix would be available December 3rd, so the S515 update did fix the problem. I know some on this forum had the newer software on a HWS and didn't have a problem with dish anywhere, but for some reason my new Hopper did have a problem but now everything works fine.
Also, the green button for the closed caption function is really nice - we use it every night.

Ok, I have been lurking here because I'm wondering if I am the only one seeing all the bugs since the (ahem) 'improvements'.

The search bug where you move back to the letters to change the entry and the cursor automatically goes to 'P' and clears out the search text is back. They had fixed this last summer and now it is back again.

The rentals have been extremely wonky since the update - black screens, downloads that are 'expired' right away. Pulling the plug fixes them again, but should I really need to do this?

And the strangest of all - a random black dot in the middle of the screen on the very bottom on the HWS only - no, I'm not crazy. This was not there before the update - believe me, I would have noticed. A hard reset fixes. Only shows up once in a while - I've tried different HTML cables, ports, etc. Definitely coming from the HWS and new oddity. Not there for other HTML sources so not the TV. Defective box? Maybe, but I can tell you it worked flawlessly until this update.

I wouldn't even know where to go with this stuff. We know how scary CSRs can be.

I like the 'play' option from the guide BTW for On Demand. But wow, why do they have to break stuff when they give us something new?

My regular Joey has been really slow for months now. The latest update did not seem to help at all. My Wireless Joey on the other hand seems to be working great though.
