    1000.4 EA Help with tuning

Ok, I've installed countless dish systems... I must be old and rusty this 1000.4 just doesn't fly with me. I have an old dual buddy, it won't power the DPP LNBF, so if what I read is right, says to power the LNB direct to the IRD on port 1 of the LNB, then connect the meter to port 2 to tune...

Where can I get a EA 1000.4 cheap?

Fixin to move... LOS only on SE side, tried dish tech support she saw what should could do, no go... not even an LNB. Seen on ebay around $90 with shipping. Dish mover isn't going to work in my situation. Maybe someone around Austin has extra one? Anyone know of anything that I don't know?

    Any ATT|Dish "movers" ?

Just curious if anyone with a ATT|Dish account has ever tried moving? Especially into a area that they may not service. Been pondering about moving over to ATT Dish to put all my goodies on one bill.

How many of you actually watch the HD channels you pay for?

Just like the title says, how many HD channels do you actually watch? I got 3 History Discovery MHD I watch my local HD's more then anything, and here I am thinking is this really worth $20 more a month for 3 channels? I can see when more channels get launched like FX, Comedy...

My unofficial review of 622 L446

First off I'm no technical writer, I just call it as I see it. I picked up L446 and I must say the feature for the pop up when you push the TV button on your remote is nice for some as a reminder that they are now controlling their tv with the dish remote, as a technician point of view that...

    Success! 622 connected via cellphone

Here's the scoop... Where I'm at, I can't get cable internet due to everything being RG59, my only option is DSL and I'm not paying for a home phone for which I'll never use. Currently I use a bluetooth connection onto my cell in which I connect at EDGE speeds, it's not broadband, but for...

    Roof mounts/Fall Protection

So in the grapevine I hear that someone bitched to OSHA about installers not utilizing roof fall protection, thus now making a big stink with Dish installers being required to install a anchor point in your roof, then removing and patching when finished. What are ya'll going to do when the...

    Legacy/DPP - DP Adaptor

I have one for ya... With a DPP Twin, a legacy reciever does not require a DP Adapter as long as there is a DP reciever connected. Now my question is with a DPP Twin, would I need two DP adaptors for two legacy recievers connect to DPP Twin, since the twin is thinking there is a DP...

So you think Satellite installers have it easy?

I wasn't personally at this location, but I was at one quite similar last week. They say pictures can say a thousand words... Better TV for ALL :up

A Challenging Install - Others said No

Well, just when satellite installs started to get boring, I finally got to do a install that tested my edurance and skill as a DISH installer. Here's the scoop, about 6 weeks ago, I roll on a New Connect, 3 room install, 211/622 - 119/110/129 orbital out in the backwoods surrounded by tree...

Truth from the Wildblue Experienced Installers...

I hope I am posting this in the right forum, I figure since it's really a Dish Network thing now it would be appropriate to place it here. Anyhow, how long is it taking for ya'll to install a system, say pole mount or even a roof mount. From what I can forsee it shouldn't take anymore then...

    Beginner @ 123w

I need some help. I don't know much about FTA, but I'm going to give it a shot. I read I need a 30" dish, I'm aiming for the 123, does anyone think I'd have a chance at all with a Dish 500? If not I was thinking of taking a 500+/1000+ dish and attaching a dual at the end of the arm. I...

    Detailed voltage specifications

Does anyone know where would I find some very detailed information on all dish recievers? I have questions so I can know exactly what makes them tick and not. I know there's information somewhere, where it discusess things like 10.1v nominal state. - DP Recievers running at 20volts...

Anyone do a must carry on the 129 lately?

Ok so I'm out of Dish 1000's, doing a upgrade from a Dish 300 (119) to a Dish 1000 upgrade (119/110/129). I explain to the customer I'm out of dish 1000's, so I offer him every option available to do the job now and offered to go back and get some dish 1000's for a single dish solution...

    Off Air Antenna Installs

are pretty much hit in miss depending on the geographic location (elevation, obstructions, etc..) at least this is what I'm running into in West Virginia. Some people only get one network. I have yet to see getting all major networks on one. It's no wonder why people had distant locals from...

    New DPP Twins are here!

My warehouse has recieved a new shipment of DPP Twins... I have yet to use one! Here's the scoop, apparently a dual tuner will not work with them off the get go, when you run check switch the matrix will show errors (Red X). Some co-workers have found if they run the check switch with a DP...

    New Dish 1000?

Ok... I come back to work after my long 3 days off and see a new type of a Dish 1000 sitting around. The LNB reminds me of the D* Multi Satellite unit. I keep up pretty well on this site here so unless I am missing something........ is this a 1000.2 or 1000.1 or something? I was told the LNB...

    Powered by Wildblue

Found out just a snip about Wildblue today, pretty much it's in the 111 orbital slot, not sure if there will be a one dish solution, but most likely (my opinion) yes. It will operate in the Ka band, anyone know if this is more or less succeptable to rain fade like the Ku band? What I am...

    625 - TV Entertainment

I've noticed since 383 I have a TV Entertainment option on my 625, anyone know what this will soon be? I'm assuming it has something to do with Dish On Demand, but am not sure. I don't recall seeing anything else on this topic in case I missed it.

Are the birds in the sky moving??

Yesterday I installed a 1000+, I had the actual 4 room job done in about 4 hours or so after installing the pole and trenching about 80 of burial cable. It took me over 4 hours to tune the dish. I've installed about 5 or 6 of them so far and it usually took me about 10 minutes or so to do...
